Side note, I think this is the 2nd consecutive year no Philly teams in the tourney? Now’s the perfect time to go all in with NIL. There’s a gap and La Salle can fill that void if they just go all in. Pretty risky in the A10 but at least with Dunph you know you have a good coach and with the “excitement” of a “new” arena you don’t get this opportunity often. Go all in, make up for the last miss not capitalizing on the Sweet 16. how does la salle go all in and fill a void with nil? if i understand it correctly, that void needs to be filled by donors/collectives who funnel money directly to the athletes. the school also needs donors to help fund the program. going all in will require some big money donors. not sure if there are enough out there to get a big enough number to make a real difference.

A-10 clearly benefited in NIT bids via opt outs from high majors. Have to think VCU and/or St. Joes would have been out otherwise. I think all teams deserve to be there though.

4 A-10 teams into the NIT. St Joe’s (PA) Richmond Loyola-Chicago VCU (v Villanova in round 1) something smells here. both umass and st bona finished ahead of st joes (pa) in both the net and the a10 standings yet they get the nit invite.

Reminds me of La Salle in 2006 Regarding St Bona, it was the karma gods punishing Schmidt for being an asshole typical la salle bad luck. that was the first year the nit gave autobids to regular season champs who lost in their conference tournament. la salle would have easily been in the field if not for that.

Probably betting all favorites. Fucking depressing that Saquon is an Eagle. Yeah, that's a real waste of good money that could have been spent on the defensive backfield or an offensive lineman. Barkley has been injured too often too give him that kind of money. Terrible deal. This aged well....
