I don't know if this game proves Glitter's point or Joe's point, but Mason made one 3 today. I was wondering why they weren't at least trying to shoot 3s. For what it's worth, Mason is 14th in the A10 in 3-point attempts. Apparently, it is not their forte. For the season Mason shot 34.2% on 3s and made 6.8 per game. The Explorers are shooting 34.5% on 3s and making 8.6 per game. And the conclusion is… |

Only reason I was remotely thinking them is that Dayton has stumbled a bit at the end of the season, and Duquesne might want to make up for getting bounced by us last year. Total long shot though. I wouldn't bet it. |

Yes, however I would bet a large sum of money 2 teams max are getting in if Dayton doesn't get auto bid. As I said before it's going to be very difficult to get two bids if Dayton wins title, like less than 20%. Major conference bubble teams are going to rack Q1 wins and improve profiles the next few days and you may get an auto bid thief. I do think the A-10 will fare much better in getting NIT bids this year though because the conference has improved year over year and there are more top 100 teams. Loyola/Richmond would be locks for NIT. UMass, VCU, Duquesne all have an outside chance. |
