I won't do that, and I will struggle to cheer for him... but I can't fault him for getting that money. This isn't 30K from Duquesne. Good on him for getting the bag. If the larger more established programs are allowed to and can pay their scholar athletes this kind of money, how can smaller programs expect to ultimately compete? I do not know what the answer is but the writing seems on the wall. Hard to picture anyone with any basketball talent ending up at La Salle say 5 years from now. |

Coaches are really pushing players to make decisions. We are going to see a wave shortly. Coaches want players enrolled during the summer sessions for training/practices, etc. Summer session starts in 3-4 weeks at a lot of schools. Good for Brickus. I am sorry to see him go. The lack of recruiting from Dunphy and staff the last 2 cycles have really exposed both the high end talent and depth issues. They are still involved in a wide range of players but they need to start hitting. |

the twins did a gofundme page for their family while they were at la salle. i gladly contributed. now i wish i hadnt. check out hassan's story. he mentions memorable experiences at duquesne and st peter's but not one mention of la salle where they were treated great. not getting another dime from me. |

Neptune's dumbass is barely a 500 coach at Nova. We don't have leverage in this scenario, but fuck Ash Howard, Fuck Baker Dunleavy, and Fuck Kyle Neptune.
I hope jones and Brantley lock Jigs ass up next season if we get them on the schedule.

Good for Jig. I pushed for him to be recruited here when consensus was he was not an a-10 level player and have thoroughly enjoyed watching him. Life-changing money that he has to take. Happy for him, genuinely.
However, this is just about the final nail in the coffin for me as a college basketball fan.
None of it means anything to a fan. It’s just bad pro basketball at this point and la Salle cannot survive in this landscape

College hoops is taking an ugly turn. Congress isn’t going to do anything. The House of Representatives are too dysfunctional to pass anything remotely material at this point. Going to allow for a lot of bad actors to influence. Nova came late and came heavy. Obviously, hate Nova and pretty much everything about them. Happy for Brickus. A perfect situation for him to close out his career for him and his family. |

An organization made up of college presidents, ADs and conference commissioners. The court system said they don’t have the abilities to regulate like they wanted to. Schools are not going to want to self-regulate… The big state schools would like to kick 99% of private, small enrollment schools out of Division 1 if they could. There are proposals out there now that would create a gap between the schools (ie min payments to all athletes regardless of sport) |
