August 31, 2002. ND 22 Maryland 0...I thought picking winners was easy.
I had just moved into Neumann 11 days prior.
I went back to Sea Isle Labor Day weekend and worked at The OD.
Most of my friends stayed on campus and I picked up a new hobby, it's been 22 years. I've been gambling longer than half of my life.

So this is his fourth or fifth school in five years or six years. Hard to keep track.

Why though? Why would you wanna backslide? You just started on 2 ACC teams with Final 4 possibilities. Why go to the 3rd best program in the A10? Head scratcher.

There should be a NCAA rules for how many times you can transfer. This is ridiculous, 4 schools in 5 years. WOW

I wonder if he looks old to freshmen? Reminds me of being at the back bar of the OD at 26/27 and feeling out of place in the sea of 21/22 year olds

Looking forward to watching him step on the out of bounds line while catching a pass at the Glaser.

This idea “how can go to a rival”. The rivalry stuff is taken seriously only with older alums. Kids today get up for games of course but the idea that you don’t transfer to a rival is not something they really care about.

So the question I have with Clark is
Did he go for more green with VCU or
Did Clemson not want him back?

So the question I have with Clark is Did he go for more green with VCU or Did Clemson not want him back? All that football money and you think VCU has more to pay? Gotta be something with Jack, don't you think? 4 schools in 4 years.

That's the point. I think it was Clemson saying see ya. But it is debatable.

My wild guess is Clark didn't know for sure if he would get a 7th year and Clemson wasn't going to wait around to find out. So maybe when he circled back around it wasn't there or his role was diminished as they leveled up after their miracle tourney run. VCU is also probably increasingly desperate after missing out on some guys.

Clemson just made a crazy run through the NCAA Tourney and Clark was a starter who played a large amount of minutes and critical minutes.
They def wanted him back. Maybe Clemson NIL for basketball is not as big as people think?
Also, how many grad degrees do we think Clark has now? 2 master degrees?

i also think clemson wanted him back.
my theory on clark is he moved down a level so he can play a bigger role in his last year. he did a good job at nc state and clemson but it seemed pretty obvious that he was told by both coaching staffs his primary role was to rebound, pass and defend.
at vcu, he may get a smaller nil package but the tradeoff for him is he should have the green light and will have a chance to have a bigger impact.

I'm still thinking it translates to 10 PPG, 29% from 3, and maybe 4 rpg.
But maybe he'll get a 3rd masters out of the deal, and be a Millionaire down the road with all of the advanced degrees.

If Dunphy has 2 to give and goes guard and big, that could be seen as the staff's confidence that Ryan Zan can be that 3rd forward. He's improved dramatically since he's been here. A combo of Shep, Fasasi, Zan and possibly some minutes on the wing for Andres could be a competitive group.

I'm hearing Bronny is going to stay in the draft. Now here's where it gets interesting. The Lakers have the 17th pick. It's either going to the pelicans this year or next. New Orleans has until June 1st to decide if they want the pick now or defer it to 2025.
Right now, Lebron has a player option. He doesn't have a no trade clause. If he opts out, he can sign a max deal for like 3 years/150 million.
Does Lebron opt out to either pressure teams to draft Bronny, or bluff them into it? The only way he can stay with the Lakers is if the Pels defer the pick.
Bronny isn't getting drafted without Lebron. He shouldn't get drafted with Lebron. Lastly, is Lebron worth 3 years, 150 million at 40, 41, and 42 years of age? The Lakers have either missed the playoffs or been a play in tournament team every year except for the Bubble, and they got 4 months off in the middle of that season so it should be an asterisk. Point being is that if Lebron can only get you to a 7th or 8th seed, with Anthony Davis as the Batman to his Robin, what's the best he can do for a team as Batman in his 40s?
Or, do we get some normalcy in the sports world, and Bronny goes to Duquesne, with the help of GlitterBro's donation?

It is tough.. if we learned anything from last year Shep and Tunde are really 3s and not 4s. Shep is def not a 4. Zan is a poor man’s 4 for a competitive D1 team but let’s see what happens here. I am cautiously optimistic there will be progress on the frontcourt.

The staff had interest in Sanders. In fact a week ago I thought he might be one of our guard recruits.
From Jon Rothstein: Source: Seton Hall transfer Jaquan Sanders has committed to Hofstra.
