My man can't get away from familiarity. A10, Big 5. Good for Temple, although it feels like a legacy thing.

Doesn't La Salle have the best one the Big 5 + Villanova has had in the 2000s?

So Reynolds acted like he was always coming back. So why did he enter the portal? I'm all for all kids entering the portal every year, but you can't enter the portal and then stand on your "loyalty".
Brickus is getting his. From what I'm hearing, it's a chunk.

Brickus is getting his. From what I'm hearing, it's a chunk. I'm asking you, and this is what I always ask Del, but can't get a straight answer.... is Jig going to make more as a Game Cock, or will he make more going to Italy or Spain to play? All these guys chasing the bag, go be a real pro. If I'm Josh Harris, or Jeanie Buss, or the dude from Microsoft that bought the Clippers from Sterling, I make more money when my team does well. I get more revenue from playoff dates, merchandise, concessions, etc. I'm a billionaire that's going to make even more money when the team does well. If I'm Temple, La Salle, St. Joes, Nova or in this case, VCU or South Carolina, what does paying Jig, or any other middle of the road to decent college player 250K get you? Furthermore, any dude paying these kids via the collective, what does paying these guys get you? You aren't seeing any net worth grow by paying a 22 year old 250K. Are these players gonna come cut your lawn and mulch your flower beds? Are they gonna wash your car and pick your kids up from school? Maybe pick up a dry cleaning and a bouquet of flowers for the wife? There's zero ROI for the guys with skin in the game. I can't name another venture in America, maybe political contributions, where guys pony up money and get zero in return. Exhibit A. The Villanova Wildcats. If I were a big collective donor, and Whitmore says he's not playing in the NIT, he's either waxing my car, pulling weeds, but I'm getting my money's worth. At least 4ever gets an arena named after him. Donors to the school and program get tickets, buildings, locker rooms and weight rooms named after them. You get zero in return for donating to a collective. It's not even charity. Sorry for the rant.

I'm asking you, and this is what I always ask Del, but can't get a straight answer.... is Jig going to make more as a Game Cock, or will he make more going to Italy or Spain to play? Ignoring the whole "you don't get your degree playing in Italy or Spain", what if you could make a little more working in Italy or Spain? Its anything but a straight money decision.

It’s possible he enjoys college and can make a lot of money playing basketball in college at a big name university. Compensated or not, it’s still college basketball and there’s a lot of pros to that over playing professional basketball.

Either guys are gonna get their money's worth, or the well is gonna dry up. You don't think these guys making these car payments don't have power to repo said cars? It's a dog eat dog world, Mookie. It's not all sunshine and roses.

That's where I was going. $70K overseas isn't necessarily more appealing than $50K here or whatever numbers you want to fill in. Its a massive jump that not everyone wants to take.

Sorry for the rant. here's some good explanations on why getting a very good nil package might be a better option than going pro overseas, especially for someone like jhamir. we all know he's a great player, but he's an undersized guard and there are tons of available guards for the international pro teams to choose from.

I have a picture on Randall's lap at 4 years old in valley forge.

I should've never started betting my freshmen year at La Salle, but I did...
Notre Dame +4 vs. Maryland
Ty Willingham's 1st game as Irish head coach.
