Looks like Duece Jones and Eunique Rink are both visiting La Salle this weekend.
Jones is garnering good interest elsewhere. Nice to see Dunphy and staff getting him on campus.
Rink is a 6β9 developing big man.

Rink looks like he is playing with grade schoolers in that video. I really like his athleticism.

I really like his athleticism. yes, even though the comp he's going up against in this video is suspect, he is athletic as hell and what i really liked is he has great hands and natural shot blocking ability. back in june at the philly live aau event, he supposedly more than held his own against the two best local 2024 big men (archbishop ryan's thomas sorber, a stud who committed to georgetown, and tristen guillouette who played at st joe's prep last year but is looking for a new school since the piaa recently declared him ineligible).

Sounds like he would be a great get.

once again, trying to figure out what la salle's recruiting strategy is is next to impossible which i assume is by design. technically, if everyone on the current roster returns (all have eligibility left after this season), they only have one scholarship to give. but in this day and age, it's not likely all of them will.
based on the various recruiting sites, la salle only has two firm offers out there (to khaafiq myers from neumann-goretti and nasir rodriguez from monsignor scanlan in the bronx). the other players they offered (thomas sorber, t.j. robinson, josh reed, ma'kye taylor) have committed elsewhere. they've had recent visits from deuce jones and eunique rink along with tyler edore but there has been no mention of them getting committable offers. my guess is there have been other visitors we don't know about.
i know they're looking at a number of foreign, juco, prep and high school players but it would be nice to get one early committment instead of having to sweat through the spring and early summer.
being a la salle fan is always "interesting".

Looks like La Salle is getting involved heavily with Taj Bryant as well.
Rumors has been out for some time that this is probably Brickusβ last year.

Another visit according to Jake Liebman:
6'5 2024 CG Scott Hubbard will take an unofficial visit to La Salle this week, i'm told.
Various programs are recruiting Hubbard.

Damn, Khaafiq Meyers has committed to St. Joe's. Was hoping we could land him. We were in his final 3.

Here are a few reasons
1) one program has a pre-season 5 versus the other a pre-season 15 rating 2) SJU has developed a few more high profile players in the last few years 3) Have an arena, not a drawing/WIP 4) Campus is nicer, and a little safer 5) SJU may be offering more NIL $$$ 6) Lange NBA connection/experience 7) 17-18 YOs don't really understand or grasp what a legend Dunph is

SJU the program has developed more than La Salle recently but that was Martelli and not Lange. I am not sure SJU is safer than La Salle. They have had more students subject to crime than La Salle has had. At least from the news standpoint. Unless La Salle is so good keeping this under wraps they are misrepresenting.

At least from the news standpoint. Unless La Salle is so good keeping this under wraps they are misrepresenting. They also have twice as many undergrads, so it is reasonable they've had more crime reported.

Surprised we didn't offer Jones. I don't know why. I think he is an A-10 level guard but given it is impossible to figure out what we are doing in recruiting perhaps Dunph has others on his list he likes better.
When G was coach it was so easy to identify the priority recruits. Ash not as much but easier than Dunphy. This staff it is really tough.

Next year... 3 out of 13 SJU schollies will be held by alums of the NJ Scholars EYBL program Fleming, Haskins and Myers...
Lange, clearly, has established a SOLID relationship with that program
