Both Mark Hueber and Safet Kastrat are liking a lot of Social Media stuff with him. I don't think Jones tweets the offer from La Salle which is liked by a lot of La Salle people including coaches if we were not a factor here. Maybe Safet posts a bulls-eye meme this weekend?

Would be nice to get a couple guards early. Not sure if Brickus can or will come back and Khalil only has one more year so getting a couple guards into the program for next year will be significant as we transition from Brantley and Brickus. Diehard, thanks for the info!

Deuce and Khalil would be one of the most athletic and quickest backcourt pairings in the A-10.
Deuce’s first step is the fastest I have seen since Khalil.
And funny that the same questions are out there regarding his perimeter shot. As we have seen time and time again, being athletic and quick is high school and AAU is one thing.. But you need to have a perimeter shot if the defense plays off you in college. Fortunately, Deuce shot is a simple, repeatable release. I think it gets better with practice. He has higher ceiling than Meyers and that is a good thing for La Salle if we are going to try and have a competitive team.

Next year... 3 out of 13 SJU schollies will be held by alums of the NJ Scholars EYBL program Fleming, Haskins and Myers... Lange, clearly, has established a SOLID relationship with that program good for billy. now he needs to prove he can win with coach them. FIFY

good for billy. now he needs to prove he can win with coach them. FIFY I see what you did there. I am not sure if there is another D1 school that would give Billy the rope that has had. He has a horrific record over several years and has sent 0 players to the NBA or G-League which is obviously his angle in recruiting... If he underperforms this year and gets fired.. What happens to all those players?

it looks like there might be a family connection with deuce. my guess is his uncle is former explorer guard gary jones based on this tweet from a current la salle student. gary was a member of the 1986-87 team that went to the nit finals with lionel, bobby johnson, rich tarr, craig conlin and tim legler. I didn't know he was related to Gary Jones. I wonder if his Dad is Mike Jones who went to Rutgers about 2 years after his brother Gary graduated.

Is Deuce Jones our only possible early signing? I am completely fine with this. The recruiting game has changed forever. It would malpractice to not have schollies held back just in case someone needs a home later in the year. Big school recruit overs are going to happen 2x now. Nickelberry is taking somebodies minutes at FSU like how Clark did at NC State. Someone from the roster is going to displaced and leave. And this doesn’t include the European market which is probably the bigger find. I said in another post but Dunphy should just send monthly calls with Rokas’ youth and club coaches and just say give me a call when you have another big for me. And just keep that gravy train going. What an advantage for La Salle to have a big man be able to hold his own against one of the bigger bigs in the area. This is one of the advantages of getting these European kids.. They are more mature and are used to playing against men. This is how these European basketball clubs are. They all have professional adult teams. This is especially important for big men. American bigs can just use their athleticism to dominate lesser athletic big in high school and AAU. In Europe you are practicing against men who are just as big as you so you need to refine your skills (post moves, court vision, taking angles, passing/shooting, etc)

Nice signing by Coach Fran with Jones for 2024. Jones is athletically enough to start or come off the bench. After Gill and Brickus graduated, he can fill one of those spots. Great job Coach Fran and welcome to 20th and Olney Jones.

I am not sure if this is the right place for this question but has anyone been able to research Efstratios Kalliontzis. Any data on what he has been doing and how he is performing. Positive descriptions about his rebounding are out there but can't find any stats on his recent game performances.

Would love for him to come in and challenge RJ. Honestly, could care less his performance against other Euros at this point. Won’t know what he’s capable of until we see him game 1 next fall.

Damn look at that list... Now good luck trying to see which ones are the real schools... For a 3rd team MAAC PG..
Honestly that is amazing... Now I would take him because we need upgrades especially in perimeter shooting... But some of those names... Holy cow
