Jack officially in the portal. What is this? His 7th year next year? Clemson grad transfer Jack Clark has entered the Transfer Portal @on3sports has learned on3.com/db/jack-clark-… I'm not gonna be harsh on him like I was the twins, my only question is this, why? He left an ACC team that's playing this weekend for an ACC team that made the elite 8. Jack stared at both programs so it's not minutes or opportunities. I'm sure the NIL opportunities are damn near identical at Clemson and NC State. He graduated from La Salle, so he's not the total carpet bagger that Tre Mitchell is, but 4 schools when you're at the apex of college basketball? What's the point? Is he uncoachable? Is he a headache to have on the team? Eventually, when your uncle is on his 3th or 4th marriage, maybe your aunt wasn't such a bitch. Maybe your uncle is the issue. Lastly, in the not so distant past, age worked against guys in the NBA. 4 year players were looked at as having low upside. The Sixers got killed for drafting Al Thornton at 24 years of age, out of Florida State. Maybe that philosophy is out the window now. Maybe it's a good thing for college players to stick for 3-4 years, I can't imagine at 3 or 4 different schools though. I don't know, I wish Jack well, but it's puzzling to me. I guess after this year, this covid loophole will be closed. Winter and fall athletes should've never gotten a free year anyway. They played up until the conference tourney. Fall sports weren't jeopardized at all. I agree with you but you’re incorrect on the Covid year Covid hit in March 2020. Those who played in 2019-2020 weren’t given an extra year for that year (football and basketball at least) Those who played following Covid - 2020-2021 were given the extra year. The philosophy was they risked their health and had to constantly test and stuff so they were granted that season as a free season

Oh well, hindsight is 20/20. This isn't an anti-Covid stance. Looking back, the NCAA free year caused alot of headaches and put the ecosystem out of balance for a half decade.
