I trust you don't need me to tell you the ACC is not the A-10. Which is inherently better. Just like if he had the exact same numbers in D3, it would mean things have gotten worse.

Jack Clark put up 6 points 8 rebounds coming of the bench in a big win against UNC. Clark, Croswell and Moore will be dancing in March. #GoExplorer They aren't Explorers. Clark and Moore are Lasalle graduates, In my opinion they are Explorers

Happy for him. Had he not gotten hurt in high school, he would have started at the level he finds himself now.

Happy for him. Had he not gotten hurt in high school, he would have started at the level he finds himself now. only if he was planning to ask to be released from his letter of intent and there was never any indication he was considering it. he signed with la salle in mid-november 2017 and tore his acl in late January 2018. suburbanonesports.com/featured-athletes/male/jack-clark-0076391

You’re right. My mind remembers being shocked he signed to La Salle.

My favorite Jack Clark move was when Shepherd entered the portal last year and then announced he was staying at La Salle, Clark tweeted him "good move."

Jack still likes a lot of things La Salle put out on social media. I think he enjoyed his time at La Salle. Perhaps he didn’t achieve what he had hoped for in basketball but the rest of his time seemed to agree with him.
Part of G’s last class which was a monster one that may have been one of G’s best.

Happy for Jack. Went from averaging about 15 minutes a game Nov - Jan, but stepped up and is playing 30+ a game in Feb - Mar. Would never have have guessed he could go from what some saw as an underachiever here to a starter on an ACC Elite 8 squad.

I never would've guessed it, either... Congrats to him. One more to go. Here's hoping for Clemson.

They lost that game on the line They were like 75 percent on the season and less than 50 percent last night. Although stats don’t show it a front end of a one and one are really two misses

this article says jack may still have another year of eligibility. i think they might be right. it all depends if he was granted a medical redshirt for his freshman year in 2018-19 when he played 9 games. he got a medical redshirt for the 2019-20 season and the 2020-21 season was the covid year that didn't count. so technically, he may have only used up eligibility during the 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 years. the medical redshirt rules have changed over the years and i'm not sure what they were then. i seem to remember at one time, the rule was you could not play in more than 30% of the team's games and in no games after a certain date but don't quote me on that. la salle went 10-21 that year so he falls below the 30% number, but he ended up playing his last game on january 16, 2019. will be interesting to see what happens. maybe he can transfer back to la salle for a farewell tour. lol. www.aol.com/clemson-basketball-roster-2024-25-160504827.html

One of my ironically favorite things in recent college basketball seasons is when they list the average age of players. The average age of San Diego State’s roster last year was almost 23. That means there were players probably 24 or 25. I know some of that is because of the COVId years. But it’s really wild to me that a bunch of college basketball teams have rosters comprised of Jeremy Piven in PCU.
Hopefully a lot of these players are using their extra years to get or come close to actual graduate degrees they can use once their pro basketball career wind down.

There was always redshirt incentive if you wanted to get a post-grad, but with NIL there's even more incentive to try and get as many seasons on a roster as possible.

Clemson grad transfer Jack Clark has entered the Transfer Portal @on3sports has learned on3.com/db/jack-clark-… DAMN this will be his third team in 4 years. Now Clemson will be in the final four next year like NC State this year ( Jack Clark was on last year NC State roster). Good luck Jack on your 3rd team next season.

Jack officially in the portal. What is this? His 7th year next year? Clemson grad transfer Jack Clark has entered the Transfer Portal @on3sports has learned on3.com/db/jack-clark-… I'm not gonna be harsh on him like I was the twins, my only question is this, why? He left an ACC team that's playing this weekend for an ACC team that made the elite 8. Jack stared at both programs so it's not minutes or opportunities. I'm sure the NIL opportunities are damn near identical at Clemson and NC State. He graduated from La Salle, so he's not the total carpet bagger that Tre Mitchell is, but 4 schools when you're at the apex of college basketball? What's the point? Is he uncoachable? Is he a headache to have on the team? Eventually, when your uncle is on his 3th or 4th marriage, maybe your aunt wasn't such a bitch. Maybe your uncle is the issue. Lastly, in the not so distant past, age worked against guys in the NBA. 4 year players were looked at as having low upside. The Sixers got killed for drafting Al Thornton at 24 years of age, out of Florida State. Maybe that philosophy is out the window now. Maybe it's a good thing for college players to stick for 3-4 years, I can't imagine at 3 or 4 different schools though. I don't know, I wish Jack well, but it's puzzling to me. I guess after this year, this covid loophole will be closed. Winter and fall athletes should've never gotten a free year anyway. They played up until the conference tourney. Fall sports weren't jeopardized at all.

Fall sports weren't jeopardized at all. i watched jack play a number of times at both nc state and clemson. as far as i know, he was never a headache or uncoachable at la salle, and at both of those schools, he played strictly as a role player, mainly helping out on the boards and defending. he pretty much only took shots when he was wide open. he was very passive on the offensive end and i believe that was the role the coaches at nc state and clemson asked him to play. i never saw him pout when the ball didn't rotate to him when he was open and he always seemed to make the extra pass. over the last 2 years, he only averaged 5.9 field goal attempts per game. he wasn't exactly a gunner when he was here either, averaging 10.2 field goal attempts per game. who knows, but maybe he's looking for an opportunity to play a larger role wherever he uses his last year of eligibility which may help him get some nba looks or a better contract overseas if he plays well and puts up big numbers.

Ashley Howard seemed to still be a big Clark fan, so I don't think he was headache here. I don't know how he's been down south. It's a head scratcher though.
