I'm holding out hope we keep him and he becomes an all A10 player under good coaching.

First of all, best of luck to Jack Clark in his next journey. I believe with his skill set he will be fine at NC State. For example, Alondes Williams from Wake Forest (ACC player of the year) transfer from Oklahoma and was a roll player for two years. Fran need to use the portal to fill the roster. #GoExplorer

cliff will definitely benefit from better coaching. for jack's sake, hopefully he will. not so sure about keatts at nc state.
imo, the biggest challenge for both of them will be on the defensive end. cliff is a very good shot blocker but he really struggled on switches and smaller, quicker players blew by him a lot. well-coached opponents took advantage of that a lot. hopefully cooley can fix that for him. jack on the other hand was quite frankly a poor defender which should not have been the case. he has all the tools to be a very good one. it probably had a lot to do with coaching, but there were also games where he looked disinterested on the defensive end. if he does that at nc state, he'll be spending a lot of time on the bench.
good luck to both of them. they were both solid citizens and good students at la salle. it's a shame they weren't put in a position to win consistently at la salle.

Jack's going to have to shoot over 30% from 3 if he's going to have success in the ACC.

I don't have access to those numbers, but my guess is he'll get more uncontested looks on a roster with more talent.

From "Inside Pack Sports" "He was on campus this weekend for an official visit. “It was a good visit,” Clark said. “It was a great experience. From La Salle, it was a lot different. NC State and [Coach] Keatts laid out the red carpet for me, I'm not going to lie. “The highlight of the visit for me was probably going to the arena and just seeing everything they had to offer. The practice facility, the gym, weight room, pretty much everything.” Ouch!

These are the raw numbers. I'm saying shooting percentage <> shooting ability because the types of shots taken and how contested those shots are have dependencies.

La Salle has to sell Dunphy, playing time and the Explorer tradition...

From what I have seen Keatts is going to start the season on the hot seat. Interesting choice if he stays two years - of course he could graduate and transfer again without sitting

jack has power 5-level talent. it's a shame he lost 2 years here due to injury. he could have a really good 2 years at nc state but imo, besides hitting consistently from the perimeter, he's going to need to give maximum effort on defense every night. he didn't do that here. it's a shame, because when he did, he is an above-average defender. i hope he does well.

His performance at NC State could be the biggest indictment of Ashley's coaching... There are a lot of Nova players whom had great success and love Ashley but boy was there just a different feeling and result through Ashley's years here.
Jack Clark's inconsistent, underwhelming performance might be the biggest one especially even he goes off and becomes an All-ACC player

Eh. I think there are player types who benefit from having other good players around them rather than being a focal point for defenses. If Clark can consistently hit the 3 and slash, having ACC talent around him (even against ACC defenses) would be a net positive.

I think Jack will do well but doubt he'll be all-ACC. Consider the talent he is playing against in these games before annointing him all-ACC.

13 more pages to get this thread to Croswell status Won't even be close. Only 2 months to go until tip off. Season predictions, season tickets, facilities, BofT discussions, the Anticipation of a W against V, and maybe even FGCU.....Jack Clark chatter will undoubtable take a back seat to all this.

Clark is struggling today against #3 Kansas. Game is on ESPN right now. Turned it on late. He seems a bit disengaged without emotion on the floor. Haven't seen anyone pass it to him yet. Saw a boxscore from previous ga.e and he had 21 pts 9 rbs

He went from 1/5 to 2/6 and 1 rebound in the last 10 minutes and seems to be standing around a lot even on defense.
