Some data points in the coaching aspect of being a head coach
Pat Ewing takes over A formerly great team three years ago that had a losing record in league play (20 games under .500 for three preceding years). He loses a star in Mc Clung as a transfer. He coaches in a far tougher league, yet he gets his guys to improve especially as the season progresses and he is in the BE final.
As h takes over a team three years ago that played 14 games under .500 in league play for the three prior years and we lose in the back half 3 games to the worst teams in the league. You look at our offensive schemes and you compare it to teams competing in the quarters of tourneys and you have to shake your head.

Almost like La Salle isn't as good as Georgetown.

Almost like La Salle isn't as good as Georgetown. Ash doesn’t have a hand in that?

Almost like La Salle isn't as good as Georgetown. Ash doesn’t have a hand in that? Patrick Ewing has won 37% of his games in the Big East, so I retract my comment. He's worse than Ash Howard.

Not sure you want to retract your statement. I don’t think he is a great coach so I don’t want Ash to be worse or even as his level. I want Ash to be better.

Almost like La Salle isn't as good as Georgetown. Ash doesn’t have a hand in that? Until he builds us a new arena and gets a major conference invite, I’m pretty sure the blame for La Salle not being on Georgetown’s level falls solely on Howard.

Ash doesn’t have a hand in that? Until he builds us a new arena and gets a major conference invite, I’m pretty sure the blame for La Salle not being on Georgetown’s level falls solely on Howard. No one said anything about being on Georgetown’s level. It started as a comparison of coaches. Georgetown is playing better teams than La Salle so it is quite relative. Both coaches have under-performed. Ewing has been a little better.

From the level of conferences Ash came from he should have made better adjustments in the A10..Ash did not come from the MEAC or NEC conferences and then to A10...Big East to A10 we should have seen some improvement in year 3 not players running away!...Hey even Traci Carter moves on to the dance

Wow he interviewed at both La Salle and Duquesne. The disruption on this board if Tim Legler took the Duquesne job because "the facilities are great."
