Loose ball scrum on the floor. Can't see who has possession. Davidson gets the timeout....sorry Kentucky calls timeout. I had the wrong Wildcats for a minute.

I think Kentucky could use Rohan Brown. He's the only one with the gonads to take a charge in the lane. Irish are driving the lane and dunking like crazy.

Still a lot of game left. I feel like if they let Kentucky go ahead, at any point, they're screwed. They have to stay ahead.

I would put a light bet on Irish tonight to cover the 11 point spread. If the UK Cats get by the Irish, I would make them 5 pt favorites over Badgers but I think the line will be pushed to 8. Those UK high rollers will push the line higher. Another day at the office. Great game. UK survives and advances.

I'm just now catching my breath. Unreal game, instant classic. Now to begin my smear campaign to keep Pat Cannaughton away from the NBA. He may have played well enough to not bring his 97mph fastball to the Orioles farm system.

More this:
@jonheymancbs: pat connaughton, irish star is orioles pitching prospect. throws 96, excellent control, great athlete. comp: samardzija
Less of that all over the basketball court success he showed this season

You'd think for money reasons but being a pitcher and years in the minors over being on an NBA roster right away makes it tough

Interesting look at the final Kentucky possession and how Notre Dame should have played it. It's less about last night's game and more how in the future team's should handle that Source: Ken Pomeroy's twitter page @kenpomeroy

So the argument is that you foul early in the possession and not rely on defense? In that game last night, I like that play. KY was questionable from the foul line for parts.

Of course the comp is Samardzija. So lazy. A good comp might be Ron Reed. Was a solid ND Bball player and power pitching set up/ closer for the 1980 World Championship Phillies. One of the few guys who would actually argue with Dallas Green. I think Reed reminded Green of himself. That is personality wise...Green could make Bobby Knight look like St Francis of Assisi.

You'd think for money reasons but being a pitcher and years in the minors over being on an NBA roster right away makes it tough If he could make NBA, I'd do that. I know a guy that pitched at Double A Reading for a couple years. He was making like $1,000 a month as a relief pitcher. Only guys drafted in first couple rounds were making more than him.

Well he was drafted in the 4th round I believe he already got $400,000 signing bonus from the O's.

I'll be rooting for the 2 Big 10 schools, by default, although I don't mind either of them. Really hope we don't get Duke-Kentucky.

I think that Kentucky is wide awake, and they are going to show up in Indy, ready to play.
It says here that Wisconsin gets rolled next week.

I'm still reeling from Cauley-Stein running the length of the court to pressure Grant. That was insane.

If Grant gives the ball up, does any one else think that ND gets a WIDE insane look being that he had 3 defenders on him? Or does the pass get tipped or picked off, and ND never gets a shot off? I don't know, but there were 6 seconds left, and that's a good amount of time to go the length of the court (figure 3 or 4 seconds), get a pass off, followed by the shot.
In regards to Cauley Stein, I watched a Youtube video of him playing wide receiver in high school, and he was sick on the football field. It was right up there with the Marcus Dupree highlights from high school on 30 for 30. Just on another level. I have to think he would've been just as successful had he chosen to play football on the collegiate level.

On this play, you want to get the ball into the middle, not run the sideline. He ran all the way in the corner. There was never a doubt in his mind he was going to take that shot. He had a terrible second half. Vasturia should have been the option as he is the most cerebral player on that team. The second Grant was doubled he should have given it up.

Full disclosure: I was arguing Kentucky should have fouled after Harrison hit the 2nd. They could lose on a 3. They weren't losing in OT.
