Kentucky could have came out wearing armbands depicting them punching my mother and I'd still be rooting against WVU and that shithead Hahn tonight.

Rooting against, but I think they'll win. But it's not like I'm head over heels for Duke, Notre Dame, or UNC (who was up 7 when I wrote my initial post, looking like they'll lose now). I like Wisconsin I guess, and I don't have any particular issue with like Michigan State or Arizona, but it's not like they're a Cinderella by any means. Glad Wisconsin won. I can't stand Xavier, don't like Mack, don't like their players, and can't stand their fans. I don't like how they left the A10, I don't like how every game they are in turns chippy...so I hope Arizona rolls them. I'd like to see Gonzaga finally get to the Final Four. I think Izzo can get to Final Fours in his sleep, so there's that. Now we get to Big Blue. While I would love to see them lose, there hasn't been a team run the table since Indiana in 76, that's almost 40 Years!!! I respect Calipari. Maybe because I'm Italian (sarcasm) but mostly because I think he's prove that you can win at any level of D1 college basketball. Final Four as an A10 coach, Final Four in Conference USA...its a given you can do that at Kentucky. But Cal is setting the bar so high, its Auriemma like... Finally, I think if Cal wins this year, he's going to the NBA. So there's that. So I'm rooting for Arizona, the Zags, and ND, but Ashley Judd is very nice to look at...

I'm rooting for West Virginia to lose by 50+ Note to dumbass freshman at WVU, this is why you don't publicly talk shit saying Kentucky's "gonna be 36-1," And "they don't play hard." Now Kentucky is playing to embarrass WVU.

When it's all said and done, the real winner of this season will end up being "Vacated Due to NCAA Violations" think about how many wins Kentucky is racking up on their behalf this year. Could end up being 40 of them.

I think it's pretty impressive that Calipari has like ten potential NBA players all cool with a time share system. Not a lot of coaches could work that out.

if Huggins can find a way to speed up this game he and Hahn can make last call on Euclid Ave.

No, an NBA team, even the current Knicks, who's roster does not approach an NBA roster, would beat Kentucky 10 times out of 10. Maybe 2-3 of those games would be remotely competitive.

Yeah, think about all the best college teams of the last two or three decades then remember what Anderson Hunt was like as a pro.

Without Melo, I think UK could get 2 or 3 games out of 10. I don't think they would be a playoff team like Larry Brown said, but I think they could beat a few NBA bottom feeders...

Like this is very likely the deepest roster and if you kept them around until 25-27 or something maybe, but they aren't competing now.

Yeah a bunch of college kids, especially a team of almost all younger underclassmen, just don't stand a chance, especially if we're playing NBA rules. Trust me, I have no allusions about the kind of roster a team like the Knicks is running out of every night, but even a guy who is made of ice cream like Andrea Bargnani is a 29 year old man with a ton of athleticism, he's going to abuse guys 10 years younger than him.

Billy Hahn may have to play in the 2nd half as his squad is fouling every possession Nothing makes me happier in college hoops than seeing a dejected billy Hahn on the bench as his team gets absolutely embarased. They could be playing the ISIS All Stars and I might not cheer for BH. If I did have to cheer for his team, I wouldn't be happy about it

X is beating Arizona right now, fuck... All is well. The chalk held. No Big East teams could make it to Elite 8 and no little AAC teams got a sniff but will have to settle for the NIT, which is what most Temple fans love to hate on. They still think they were snubbed after losing to SMU three times, so they can't even enjoy the final four at the garden the way we would have.

Yup. I dislike Villanova and St. Joseph's of PA and root against them very hard, but I don't hate them like I hate WVU. It transcends the sport itself.

It's coming down to mega state university shoot out (and Notre Dame and Duke which is close enough). Got to root for Gonzaga just because.

The Knicks are absolute garbage but they would kill Kentucky even with the current roster.
The last team that had the "They could beat a NBA team" reputation was the Anthony Davis Kentucky team. AD is obviously one of the best players of his generation but he was still a raw teenager by NBA standards. It took him another 18 months to really cement himself.
The second pick was Kidd-Gilchrest, one of my all-time favorite NCAA players. He's only recently becoming a decent NBA pro, and that's as a defense-first roleplayer on a team that's a fringe playoff team in the friggin' east.
Terrence Jones is a decent player but was a D-League guy his first year out of college.
Marquis Teague is barely holding on to a NBA contract. Doron Lamb is a D-League guy.
So take those guys, and the dudes who didn't make the NBA from that roster, before they even came close to their athletic prime and they get crushed.
Kentucky has two lottery picks in Towns and Cauley-Stein. Booker's a fringe lottery guy. Dakari Johnson and the better Harrison twin are second round guys.
They would get absolutely smoked.

It was amazing how the story about Huggins daughter and her rape tweets was out there yet she never looked at who's sitting next to her daddy. They all deserve each other

Wisconsin/UNC was a Sophie's Choice last night. Wisconsin's style of play is so friggin' brutal to sit through. UNC has a history of making up college classes and really should be banned from having a team, let alone being in the Sweet 16.
I might be done with watching the tournament the rest of the way unless Gonzaga goes on a run. And I'm not much of a Gonzaga fan, either. But it's all big state schools and other routine powers. Between the quality of play and the slog of the final few minutes, it's tough. Not when I have League Pass and can watch Golden State and the like.

This about sums it up. I have to go with Barles Charkley on this one when he was asked about Larry Brown's statement that Kentucky could possibly make the playoffs in the NBA (or something like that) and Barles replied "I love Larry Brown, but anyone who thinks that Kentucky could win a game against an NBA team is an idiot."

And also, if we're playing a 48 minute game, you're going deeper into your bench. So think about that.
It comes up every few years, and there's no harm in talking about it like as a joke, but really it's no contest at all. It's quite literally men against boys.
