The refs are absolutely swallowing their whistles in the Dayton-OU game...Dayton needs a bucket in the worst way...

Can we build another tournament team? It has become very obvious we need transfers to compete at this level.

It's funny. I was looking at a pool I'm in and did the same thing. I got them confused with Butler.

Should read "better" transfers. Yes you're right. I can't believe that we have not even been in the NIT after our sweet 16 run. G said we were going to get good and stay good. We are not even one of the top 100 teams in the country.

Can we build another tournament team? It has become very obvious we need transfers to compete at this level. Transfers aren't unique to La Salle. 19 of the 32 teams still alive going into this weekend all had transfers that were contributors. I'd be willing to bet that at least 20 more teams in the original field had transfers too. West Virginia Maryland Wichita State Kansas Oregon Arkansas Xavier Georgia State Ohio State Arizona Gonzaga UAB Georgetown Utah San Diego State Oklahoma Dayton NC State Villanova

G said we were going to get good and stay good. We are not even one of the top 100 teams in the country. We are though. Our RPI is 100. We Beat Dayton and Richmond and VCU. If you didn't know, many higher RPI automatic bids in both tournaments necessitates that many top-100 teams, such as La Salle, get passed over selection but that doesn't mean we didn't finish in the top100.

Northern Iowa is a fraud of a team. Favored against Louisville, and never got closer than 6 points. Granted, Harrell fouls every time he guards, and Louisville received a very favorable whistle, but if you're for real, you go out and challenge a middle of the pack ACC team. As it stands, due to Nova coming up small, 2 run of the mill ACC schools are going to battle for an Elite 8 spot.

Dayton coughed up a first half lead to a higher ranked team. Did they choke?

Dayton coughed up a first half lead to a higher ranked team. Did they choke? They were trailing at half. And weren't up by 18 at any point. So no.

Unless you are a football school (OSU) in need of a boost to be a mid major (VCU)?

Your link says the officials whistled the WVU player for a team control foul. What else were you hoping for?

I'm running out of teams to remotely care about left in this tournament in terms of being able to bring myself to root for them.

Rooting for or against Kentucky Neumann?

Rooting against, but I think they'll win. But it's not like I'm head over heels for Duke, Notre Dame, or UNC (who was up 7 when I wrote my initial post, looking like they'll lose now). I like Wisconsin I guess, and I don't have any particular issue with like Michigan State or Arizona, but it's not like they're a Cinderella by any means.
Glad Wisconsin won.

For the most part watching the NCAA tourmy is like watching the same rerun over and over and over again. Let's see Kentucky, Duke, NC, Arizona,Wisconsin, Michigan St. Louie ,etc. The only time I find any enjoyment is when new teams like Witchy St., Butler VCU go far because I am so sick of the same old dog and pony show it makes we want to vomit.

This sadly is the last time all year where the option to turn the Kentucky game off and turn on a more competitive game will be an option. Only 1 game on at a time after tomorrow.
