Shame to see the Billikens go down again in the round of 32. They've been a top 25 team for three years, and because the Committee wanted to stack the deck against Wichita State, they'll graduate five guys who never made the Sweet 16. Not to say they definitely would have beaten some other opponent, but that's just a brutal draw.

With 5 senior starters, is SLU poised to become in the post-Majerus era what Wake Forest is in the post-Prosser era? Speaking of Wake, they just forced out Joe Btfsplk, aka, Jeff Bzdelik. Will the Deacons complete the X trifecta, with Chris Mack following in Prosser's and Bob Stack's footsteps? Or might they zero in on the most recent A-10 coach to make the Sweet 16?

Dayton determined to play the slowest, ugliest game in the history of the tournament. It looks like a pretty good strategy, that building is silent.

CBS Sports Network showed a graphic that said "conference records : SEC 4-0, ACC 5-2, A10 2-4," and several others in between. The commentators were using it as fodder to say maybe Coach K was right about the A10 not being all that good. One said two of those losses were in overtime (VCU, SJU). Then they said, you are only as good as your record.
Let's not make up reasons to defend coach K! The "5-2" of his conference includes a loss by NC State to SLU (A10), and Duke's own loss to Mercer. The A10 performed rather well in the second round, other than UMass at least.
Notably missing from the graphic was Ivy 1-0.

If you put 6 teams in, and none of them are playing on the 2nd week, then you had a disappointing showing as a conference. Yeah, two of those teams lost close ones, but the only 2 wins the A-10 has so far were right down to the wire as well.
Really need Dayton to get this game v. Syracuse. Can't put 11 teams in the tournament in 2 years, and have 10 of them out first weekend. Goal for the A-10 needs to be getting at least 1 team into the Sweet 16 every year.

Going to be a hell of finish. Dayton's perimeter ball movement is scary good.

Hard to watch, but Miller's game plan was perfect.

The A-10 knocks off another ACC team!
But they definitely didn't deserve all those bids.

The big thing about getting a team to the Sweet 16 is the 4-5 days of coverage in ensures. Unless Mercer, Stephen F. Austin, or Harvard win, Dayton will most likely be the biggest "Cinderella" still left, so should ensure quite a bit of coverage, especially having beaten Ohio State and Syracuse, in really tight games.
Then there's the money for the league...

Can I expand "A10 teams" to include former member Villanova? I'd like to get an opinion from someone why two of their losses were blowouts to Creighton, and the rest of their schedule had only one loss before MSG. Is it match-up problems they experienced? Will they reach Elite 8 as their seed suggests they should? McDermott and Creighton are quickly becoming Nova Kryptonite, but McDermott creates matchup problems for pretty much every team. And that one loss at the Wells Fargo was the most impressive offensive display all year, starting 9-9 for three, 21 total from deep. IMO they've got Elite 8 talent, but they've got some very tough teams on the horizon. Sail past UConn, but that Iowa State game is going to be great. Think the bow out there, Ejim and Co. share the load too much, spread it out far too much for a Nova defense that can be spotty. yeah....

If Jay Wright didn't wear stupid 3 button suit jackets, this wouldn't have happened.
Ah, that UConn team is quickly becoming public enemy number one in the Mainline.

Dayton makes the Sweet 16 for the first time in 30 years. Shows how tough it is to accomplish. Congrats to the Flyers and A10. Keep it going.

If Iowa St and Memphis win today, A10 would have more teams in Sweet 16 than ACC (1-0).

A-10 is 2-0 against the ACC with likely no other matchups unless Dayton gets historic on everyone. That is tremendous.

Embarassing to watch crooked refs try to give Caliparshit a victory. It is now legal to throw elbows after rebounding the ball that is if you play for Kentuckashit. TV does not want Wichy St. in any way shape or form.

Every bit of minor contact was called a foul on the Shockers. That was disgraceful.
