I'm very angry with kjmac for making me waste my evening searching for this.

Gulf Coast is playing in the tip-off marathon against Hartford. I'm assuming it's gonna be a tip-ff game against another fairly well known mid-major on the road. I've searched a few message boards, but I'm not gonna go through 200 to see if I can find something.
......or am I?

I'm very angry with kjmac for making me waste my evening searching for this. I am doing the same thing. Really don't want to be doing this but I can't help it. Let me know if you find anything.

Checked a few boards myself. This seems like a cruel taunt. Checked a few teams I'd like to play and didn't see anything.

My guess is that it's the tip-off marathon. Last year's was released in July, and we don't seem to have a game between 11/9 and 11/16. Bingo !!! Here's a hint. I found the info on a La Salle-related Twitter page.

My guess is that it's the tip-off marathon. Last year's was released in July, and we don't seem to have a game between 11/9 and 11/16. Would make sense. Our hint was a single game, national tv coverage, and our gap in early to mid-November would fit. They released the marathon schedule on July 11th last year, and it was held November 13th. Here's to not getting goofed up with a 6am game or some nonsense, though. I don't want to be the repeat of that slop Stony Brook and Rider tossed up, 41-41 with minutes remaining.

I thought it might be the alum who works for the Scott Van Pelt show, since he's obviously got ESPN info, but I couldn't find anything relevant on his twitter.
.......now I'm kind of enjoying the hunt, although I'm sure I'll end up disappointed.

I didn't want to tick off the athletic department by putting it completely out there before the formal announcement. Now everyone can have some fun with it and try to figure it out with my Twitter clue. My second clue is about the opponent. If I took an opinion poll asking what people here thought of the opponent, a number of you will probably be a little disappointed, even though this team should do pretty well and win a lot of games.

I'm actually enjoying the search (the alternative is to prepare my reading list for comps, but since my adviser is away for the summer, I feel more inclined to hunt for basketball stuff while drinking on a Wednesday night). That gives me some possibilities, thanks.

kjmac clued me in, on the condition of silence. I'll concur with what he said; we already had the most exciting part of it, that it was the tip-off marathon. Nothing to write home about.

I am having no luck, ugh! Just went through every tweet that had the word La Salle in it and I found nothing.
Now I want to know what moron scheduled Western Kentucky against Wichita State if were in this tournament. If these teams were caliberating as both our board and the shockers board stated why wouldn't ESPN make this happen? Wasted opportunity.

Okay, here are two more clues. The key words in my clue about the opponent are "opinion poll". And when looking for La Salle-related Twitter pages, think player.

I figured it out with that clue. Hope it's a road game, for selfish reasons. I could walk there.

It isn't Hartford, they are going to Fort Myers to play Dunk City in the ESPN Tip Marathon. So I won't say the name to ruin the party.. But I am sure people can figure out the "underwhelming" name..

Well I would think that they wouldn't want to be exposed to that

That would be sweet, but too bad the clue was "opinion poll" and not "business review"..
