Apparently tried to take less to get Klay Thompson but he chose Dallas instead.

Just came out he’s taking a paycut so they can sign a piece He didn’t take less money. 2 year, $104 million MAX deal, full no trade clause. Gets his podcast partner a head coaching gig, gets his kid, who wouldn't be the best player at La Salle right now, a multi-year fully guaranteed deal, unheard of for the 55th pick in the draft, and gets paid the max, with a full no trade clause. The guy also makes 90 million a year in endorsements. Who runs the world (Beyonce song)? Not girls...Clutch The Lakeshow is doing alot of sacrificing to become the 8th or 9th best team in the West. It's OK fellas...I will give Lebron his flowers if he takes less money to help his team NEXT contract. You have my word.

No one has officially signed yet. That is July 6. I saw a story that LeBron was being asked to take $1 mill less so the Lakers can stay under the second apron. We'll see.

I feel so bad for him. As much as I despise Hurley, he did the smart thing turning down the Lakers. He would never have run the team, it would be Lebron all the way. And a guaranteed, multi-year contract for a player that would be lucky to be sitting on the end of a G-league bench? Must have been a real sharp agent. The Lakers are officially a clown show.

What an incredibly stupid, STUPID move. Maybe Harden was right about Morey. Total waste of money. Now we can watch Embiid AND George both parked on IR during the year and quite possibly during the post season as well. I love how the Sixers sign another guy who disappears during the playoffs. Great job! Paul George played 74 games last season. Would love to know the alternative that is better besides trading a top four player in the league. It's the best roster the Sixers have had in 40 years. Late to reply, but you failed to mention that in the previous 4 years he played 56, 31, 54 and 48 games. Funny how he stayed healthy and showed up this year when he could opt out. And what would I have done? Trade Embiid for a boatload of picks and start over again. The likelihood of both Embiid and George being healthy simultaneously during the season and the post season are pretty slim in my opinion. Instead of a Big 3, we'll probably have anywhere from a Big 1.75 to a Big 2.25.

Bronny got 4 years for 8 million. Well that must be great for a player avg. 4.8 points per game in 1 year in college and his teammate Boogie Ellis averages 16 points per game and went undrafted. WOW!

Super pumped for Jalen Brunson to opt into his 25M next summer and not out where he could make almost 300M over five years. I'm sure that's what will happen you know love of the game and all.

If Brunson leaves the Knicks to take more money elsewhere then talks about how he never actually wanted to leave and would rather still be in NYC, I'll grant you he's the same as George.

He can recoup all the money “lost” when it’s time to sign the next max deal
Per Woj “…recoup the $113 million on a four-year, $323 million maximum extension in 2028 or a new five-year, $418 million deal in 2029."
