This truly is destroying the game.
Is there any way to see what someone like Jig ultimately makes in NIL deal to go somewhere like VCU?

Agreed, same thought I had. You could tell Brickus did not want to pass the ball to Rokas all year. i'd say passes dropped by rokas that were charged as turnovers to jhamir and khalil added up to no less than 30-40 and that's being conservative. The Rokas bashing on here is getting ridiculous. Brickus and Brantley had 85 TOs between them. 40% of them were Rokas’ fault. And that’s being conservative! Apparently the guy had injuries and battled through them. He played hard and improved as the season went on. Hopefully he doesn’t read the exaggerations on here. Tough enough getting/keeping players.

LaSalle probably beats St. Bonaventure in the A-10 tourney if Rokas isn't stripped of the ball late in that game. He played well overall late in the season but his hands are a problem. He could be that much better if he had stronger hands.

I think it’s more a lack of playing experience at a high level. If he expects the pass, he tends to handle it and finish. Hopefully as he gets more experience and reps playing with D1 level guards the drops and fumbles will decrease.

Brantley’s list:
La Salle transfer Khalil Brantley tells me that he's receiving interest from the following programs:
Providence Georgia Tech San Diego State Tulsa Cincinnati Cal
From Jon Rothstein

It’s insane how many transfers both men’s and women teams have had over the past 2 years.
We might lead the nation in total transfers for combined programs.

probably read the board.... "Lets see if these assholes think my hands can submit a transfer request." Well since it's probably an online form, he has a better chance at it. Now if it was a paper form and someone tossed him a pen... Honestly, I'm getting to the point of idgaf. I'll just wait to see who's on the roster on a month or two or three and go from there. This whole NIL thing has gotten completely out of hand. I don't begrudge players getting paid, but this gun for hire BS is killing the sport.

Presumably Rokas feels his minutes are about to decrease so he’s exploring options?

I asked someone on the board privately “why are we recruiting so many bigs?” Earlier this week.
Now I know why.

Of the 5 in the portal, how many come back? Is 1.5 an appropriate over/under?

I have lost count of the ways the joy has been sucked out of college basketball and how things have deteriorated for me as a La Salle basketball fan. On top of all that has been already endured, this NIL and portal stuff is like being served a big turd sandwich and I already was nauseated, struggling to find an appetite.

Someone on the board a week or two ago had insinuated in a post that Rokas might be leaving, so I'm not surprised. What bugs me is how it's become a wholesale roster change on most teams in the country every year. I'm all for players getting paid, but players moving on year to year because someone else dangles more money is for the birds. And before someone says people leave their jobs for higher salaries, it doesn't happen almost every year. There's no loyalty anymore.

One of the reasons I liked college basketball so much was watching a player develop year-on-year. That's not going to be the norm anymore...especially for a La Salle. It makes me less likely to renew season tickets which was always an automatic for me. After the first weekend of the tournament this year, I somewhat lost interest despite still having my whole Elite 8 left in my bracket. I get that it changes and time moves on, but it feels like it has changed somewhat for the worse. If Jones is everything he's being made out to be on here, how long to we keep him...1 year, 2 max?

If Rokas comes back, great. If not I am fine with Demetrius.
I think the pace of NIL closings seem way down compared to last year. I believe the players have an outsized view of their value
If jig and KB get big bucks we look elsewhere. Not a great idea to spend all your NIL money with one or two players. There are fish in the ocean and I’d rather have depth than 6-7 guys.

probably read the board.... "Lets see if these assholes think my hands can submit a transfer request." This is great. You may hate me at times, but we've agreed alot over the past 2 weeks. If I were Rokas, I'd hold on to the A10 line a nerf basketball. Our entire starting lineup is in the portal, despite being a game under 500, and a coaching staff that has appeared to have had very few issues, at least in bench decorum.

Not our starting 5. Tunde isn't in and he started 18 of the last 19 games...only didn't start on senior day. And consider the new guys will likely be starters .

Yeah, there's a wide array of opinions on the current state of college basketball, but I think all (or as close to all as we're likely to see) of us agree that "Every player is a free agent every season and half of the roster is likely to turn over every year" is not exactly conducive to investment as a fan.
