Shepherd is another player that needs to sit. His defense is awful.

They need to score and having better offensive players is how that happens.

This was a bad loss. They choked this one up bad. This wasn't fatigue it was just poor execution and dumb shots.

Great play by Brickus.. Tunde has to do better..
Also, I don’t understand why Zan isn’t in for Shepherd.. We need scorers.. but that decision is less egregious

This one is going to be my first tape breakdown in some time. The board benched three guys in the last 20m though. The team is the team. Shepherd needs to play because he’s the only guy that can even attempt to stay with Joes rangy wings. Oh he got beat? Those guys beat everyone. Reynolds is getting NBA looks. You think Ryan Zan could do better than the most athletic guy on the team? And Zan played well, but he’s no ball stopper.
I know you guys scoffed at my desire for them to put up more threes. This game proved it and I’m gonna grab some screenshots to show you why that plan makes sense. When you pass on an open three and then turn the ball over or take a bad two, you missed an opportunity to get a good shot that’s worth more.

Once again dead legs, no stamina, leads to cold shooting.
I'm sick to my stomach over this loss.
I was down about the Rhode Island game, but this was much worse.

St. Joe’s outscore us 35-18 in the last 10:47 minutes of the game. Total collapse on the defensive side of the ball.

La Salle had scored 64 points in 28 minutes (2.28 ppm) and then scored 18 points in the final 12 minutes (1.5 ppm). The problem was on the offensive side of the ball.

I have wanted to do this to help educate just do not have the desire especially with a few posters on here.. You are absolutely correct sometimes the best shot is that open 3 that you need to take it.. If the defense is giving you something you got to take it.. if you can’t make it then it is Coach’s job to get someone that will.. But I know of 3 critical plays that you are thinking of just in the second half that ended up all in TOs.. Bad loss from several upperclassmen to Coach.. This one hurts.. Joe.. regarding Shepherd and Zan.. Zan can actually shoot.. Shepherd is generally a black hole from outside 4 feet.. When we are losing you have to have the people that can shoot on the court.. Preferably don’t want to be forced to do it but when are losing late you really don’t have a choice.. I understand your point though.. I was speaking of the game situation.. but as I said earlier that was a less egregious decision to others made by Coach today

If Zan could shoot he didn’t show it being that he took 0 shots and 0 FTs today.

Shepherd's body language and facial expressions are awful. Appeared to have zero confidence. Maybe Dunphy had him play so much towards the end to show trust and confidence in him. Because our team is going absolutely nowhere without his contribution - it's vital.

Oh hey look a shit ton of threes that aged well... What are you talking about you clown First half - 9 of 20 (led by 6) First 5m of 2nd Half - 2 of 5 (led by 10) Next 7m of 2nd Half - 2 of 2 Next 5m of 2nd half - No Three Pointers attempted Final 3-4 minutes of game - 1 of 7 I have to find the halftime media stats to do 3pt rate, but they completely abandoned what got them a 10-point lead when they shot two threes over a 12m stretch. The 1 of 7 down the stretch was playing catchup.

The video of how La Salle played on offense and defense during the first half of this game should now become the template for how we should aspire to play all of our remaining A-10 Conference games this season.
