Fantastic get by Fran. We get our guard of the future. Work on a tighter dribble and that jumpshot, Duece and you have a high ceiling.
Now, Fran can go back to Lithuania and pickup another Rokas and maybe another 3 and D shooter and the roster is looking pretty good .
A rim protecting big to pair with Rokas is exactly what we need.
Duece has really joined a nice situation here. There are minutes available if he performs and there will be an experienced supporting cast.

Boff left Roselle Catholic to go to that school so that’s a good program to get involved with. They will churn out players

“I had to think about it and say Coach Dunphy is a hall of fame coach and the Fairfield coach is just becoming a head coach,” Jones said. “I chose Dunphy because my uncle is best friends with him, my dad knows him and my cousin knows him. It was really, really smart for me to go there.”
Would appear that Fran will be around for year 3.

Sweat raises an interesting topic here. Potential recruits must ask Dunphy what his plans are. I can't imagine he would intentionally deceive a kid so he must be guaranteeing them at least one year. My guess is he doesn't have an exact retirement plan and will coach as long as he enjoys it. He's a terrific asset and certainly has found a way to bridge the age gap with his players. I wish him continued good health.

This only works if the team continues to improve though. He doesn't have a length-less leash.

Deuce is a HIGH major talent... He's on the same level as Nowell, Bethea and Wright... His reputation took a couple dings because there were a couple moments when he acted like he was 15 when he was 15 during some games...
Some started labeling him as a "bad teammate"... It was not a fair characterization at all...
I know Deuce fairly well... He is and has always been super competitive... He's learned to channel his competitive juices in a more mature manner over the past couple of years...
Dunph has landed the BEST available guard in the region without question... He's very quick, explosive and aggressive on the offensive end...
His Dad played at Rutgers, his uncle played at La Salle and his cousin played at Notre Dame...
The kid has a pedigree... Dunph's decision to bring Tre Lowe into the fold has paid immediate dividends in Trenton recruiting...
Gentlemen this is a REALLY GOOD get for the Explorers!

Right now Farirfield’s coach is an interim head coach
And a third coach from the staff was just let go
This all centers around their foreign trip - rumors are it involved prostitution
The interim coach, fair or not, even if he had nothing to do with anything, unless he blew the whistle, is not getting the job
Kimani Young and Luke Murray of UCONN are apparently on Fairfield’s short list. Although they may be making more money, especially Young, at UCONN than what Fairfield will pay

Maybe having flashbacks to the last time this happened. Let me assure you.. Deuce is a late bloomer and there were are some attitude concerns. I can promise you his ceiling is MUCH higher than what some of these names associated with him. You need a strong coach to take on players with big emotion.. Dunphy is one of them… As I said last week, Khaafiq is a great prep player and will be good for St Joes. Provided that Lange is still there next year. Dunphy wanted him too because he simply a wizard with the basketball in his hands. Some have said they haven’t seen a dribbler like Khaafiq since someone named Duren. He is also very quick. But Deuce has the ability to be a different level and La Salle needs to take these type of recruiting shots. Let me put it a different way, right now I am not isolating Khaafiq against Deuce but you can bet you’re a$$ I am iso-ing Deuce against Khaafiq with Deuce’s extra 4 inches and superior athleticism.

They can't put out the press release until all the paperwork is cleared and processed. There's typically a bit of a delay on this.

The old NCAA clearing house. Not a clearinghouse issue. It’s a receipt of the NIL paperwork, and filing with the NCAA. Rutgers had a big signee this/last week and had the same issue Clearinghouse is about eligibility

Is Coaching staff actively recruiting his teammates Eunique rink and Naas Hart (class of 25)? Both are around 6'9" Rink visited with Jones. I like his game from what I saw but am not sure of the competition he was playing against. We need a 6”8 or 6”9 athlete in the program. If anything to guard similar athletes, rebound and protect the rim. Any real offensive skill with those probably means he is out of reach for La Salle but the other skills are worth the scholarship.

Per Verbal Commits, we signed 6'10 Efstratios Kalliontzis from the Hoosac School. They do not show that we offered Rink. We need to keep an eye on Kalliontzis's stats as the year progresses to see if he is the answer. I did see a comment on Hoosac's website that a lot of their players train with the International Sports Academy for specific B-Ball skills. Maybe LaSalle should invest a few dollars and send Rokas to the ISA after the season for some low post training. Let the two battle it out pre-season for the starting center position.

Verbal commits doesn’t have all the players we are recruiting. It also has players we are not recruiting.
