I was NOT a fan of him either. Mostly because he had more to bring to the table than what he actually brought. He was very crafty and could’ve been more of an impact player BUT he did have a role and he DID play on winning teams. I’d place him above Stukes and Khalid Lewis.

I really liked DJ. He had a role and played it really well. He played with scorers - Jerrell Wright, Ramon, Ty Garland - and Duren and Mills could put the ball in the bucket as could Zack in the post. I never saw DJ pout or complain. He defended and moved the ball. He represented the school well

Loved DJ. Need some of that spunk on a team. Could use a guy of that length right about now.

He defended and moved the ball. He represented the school well Playing with other scorers means he should’ve been more effective or efficient offensively. He was terrible offensively. His Jr/Sr years he was nothing more than a body out there offensively. Thankfully, he was very strong on defensive side. But again that goes to my point of why I wasn’t a fan. He was very crafty but he did not use at all..and as mentioned already, he was scared to have the ball. Instead of maintaining the status quo offensively, he took significant steps back Jr/Sr years.
