6-2 guard that took a lot of shots and didn't make a ton of them.

6-2 guard that took a lot of shots and didn't make a ton of them. After all the back and forth about the need to shoot 3s despite those who shouldn’t be shooting them, figured you be happy with this guy.

6-2 guard that took a lot of shots and didn't make a ton of them. And 66% Free Throws....doesn't sound good

The staff needs to determine if he has the upside to be a factor here. We know nothing about his defense. I do know Dunphy will make him a better player. Not sure what others guards we are involved with but the staff thinks highly enough of him to bring him for a visit at this time.

On a separate note, Temple just pulled in Jamal Mashburn Jr. Real nice pick-up for Temple.
Big 5 Pod @big5pod · 1m Temple has officially landed Jamal Mashburn Jr, who spent the last 3 seasons at New Mexico. Mashburn averaged 17.3 PPG on 41% shooting during his time with the Lobos.
A huge get for Adam Fisher and company. Welcome to the Big 5, @its_jaymashjr !

I wanted the Sixers to take his dad instead of Shawn Bradley.

I don't know if you can really scout the statline with any freshman, but even more so with Acker. Mostly a starter on a terrible team with a coach who might be more celebrity than anything else.

The Sixers clearly didn't do this with Fultz, who won like only 9 games at Washington when they traded up to pick him #1.

The 6-2 freshman guard says he is also in contact with Marquette, DePaul, Duquesne, Pepperdine, La Salle, Drake, and Illinois State.
Averaged 12.7 points this season.

Not sure what others guards we are involved with but the staff thinks highly enough of him to bring him for a visit at this time. this. if the staff thinks he can help and had him visit, then i'm all for him coming here. if you go back and look at the tweets about him when he first went into the portal, in addition to st bona who he's visiting tomorrow, he was contacted by george mason, dayton, and gw so they all must think he can play at the a10 level.

6-7, 195 and shoots 37% from three and 86% from the line. Doesn't rebound. More of a wing then a big. Latvia by way of Archbishop Carroll (PA).

I'm of the opinion that we need to take a break from the Euros. Xenophobic? lol. Seriously though, I'll take any player from any country that can help this team if they're a solid individual. La Salle can't afford to turn anyone away if they can help the program.

La Salle can't afford to turn anyone away if they can help the program. Dusan Yevgen Rokas Like Tunde is the only one that may pan out. The others don't play. The upside is that they can't make NIL money, and even so, the top 3 still transferred out. Just percentages, no nefarious, ulterior motives.

But now do American recruits that didn’t pan out. It has nothing to do with them being from Europe. People (not me) thought Rokas was an all-a10 candidate to start the year.

I will give you two names I know we are very involved with. Others I was told in confidence and I don't have any first hand knowledge so I don't post anything that was said in confidence. I am sure others on the board probably always do the same. My Two guys: Jevin Muniz - Delaware State Eric Acker - LIU I don't know if they are at the top of the staff's list or not but both have mutual interest in La Salle and La Salle in them. According to Verbal Commits. Eric Archer has committed to La Salle. Do I just miss this? www.verbalcommits.com/schools/la-salle

Anybody know if we're still recruiting Bahsil Laster? I saw on verbal commits that he's still unsigned but I would understand if the staff would prefer a player from the portal who has some college experience.

From all I read, and what you have pointed out, we might expect to see talent comparable to a freshmen level Brantley with Archer. If so, we are not building from last year likely not treading water with our guard talent at this point per last year's talent and its development..

I would be surprised if we were still involved with him. Not a fit at the moment. We desperately need an experienced guard. I will say I don't understand keeping a guy like Ramos while not signing a like Laster and developing him.
