If he was going to have issues here legitimate or otherwise, it's better that he leave now. Averaged 5.5 PPG and 6.4 REB for Trinity Valley....C'mon. We've seen these big bodies come here, and most of them don't amount to much. No big loss. |

Day Speedy was fired Ronnie Burrell and Blake Hamilton were on campus for a visit. Both ended up being all conference at Monmouth and UNC-Greensboro and were among those school's all time greats.
Speedy needed to be fired at the time but La Salle luck is they missed out on both of those guys when we were in good shape to land them.

We've seen these big bodies come here, and most of them don't amount to much. No big loss. at worst, he would have been a solid depth piece for this team which they desperately need. 10-15 minutes per game backing up or playing alongside demetrius, clogging the middle and maybe getting a couple putbacks and blocked shots. without him, that role is going to fall on ryan again which isn't fair to him. he did a fine job last year but that's not his position. he's much more valuable backing up shep and tunde. the coaching staff absolutely has to bring another low post guy in who at worst can provide competent depth. not having one last year cost the team at least a couple of wins. there are still available kids out there. i know the staff was involved with some under-recruited high school/prep school kids who looked good on film along with some more jucos. have to believe they're looking overseas as well. don't know the reason why this fell through but i can't help but think it had something to do with not enough transferable credits. i saw that two other juco big men decommitted this week as well. |

Is there a reason why NCAT has not confirmed the signing of Killiontzis? He appears to have opted to go there because they have a player from Greece on the roster. Taking the conspiracy theory point of view is there any hint of recruiting violations (contact post signing) delaying his signing there or is it the usual red tape that comes with foreign players?

Verbal Commits still has Kalliontzis as signed at LaSalle. It's a big loss if he has gone elsewhere. He was described as a "rebounding machine" by scouts. Not sure why LS let him get away so easily. It leaves us vulnerable down low...........again. Teams will now focus on getting Lilley into foul trouble. You cannot win in college basketball today with a weak low post game.

Really not sure what we lost here. during the season, i saw screen shots of a few isa hoosac box scores on twitter and his stats were underwhelming. in the 2-4 pts and 6-7 rebounds range. in his defense, their perimeter guys dominated the ball and he didn't get many shots. i have no idea about what the circumstances are regarding his switch to nc a&t but i kind of doubt he was going to have much of an impact here as a freshman based on some video i saw of him. people might not be aware of this but that scouting report about him that was written prior to the season was written by one of his coaches at hoosac so take it with a grain of salt. good luck to him. hopefully he's eligible and will be able to suit up at nc a&t this year. his instagram home page shows a link to nc a&t basketball so i assume he's still planning on going there. |

Looks like Cisse is going back to Trinity CC so it looks like La Salle didn’t admit him as planned. Just speculation on my part but it does look like that’s what played out. Probably because he didn’t graduate or secure the credits he needed which does happen with JUCO’s.
Happened to us with Ramel Allen back at the end of the Speedy era.

I don't want to sound like an idiot, but I (like most of you, I'd gather) saw cryptically positive tweets from both Tom Gola 2.0 and The Gola Standard over the past 48 hours. I presumed that TG2.0 was talking about the arena, and TGS was goofing around as per ususal, but...a fool can hope it was recruiting news.
