Would you take him here if Nova lets him go? seems like a good guy, but i wouldn't even consider him. the job he did at fordham was overrated. they were 16-16. he did get them to play hard and they were decent on the defensive end, but whatever offense he ran was not good. i still remember when they beat la salle at gola. la salle was in control in the second half mainly because ash went zone and neptune had no clue how to attack it. for some reason, ash switched back to man, and fordham ended up outscoring la salle 37-20 over the last 13 minutes of the game. as far as nova firing him during the season, i'd say the chances are really slim. they still haven't hired their new athletic director. they'll wait and let whoever that is take care of it after the season. |

That's a good question. I think I'd lean no here but for intangible reasons and if I were a fan of mid-major that was perennially bottom half of the conference I'd be on board. So like if I were a Belmont fan? Sign me up, I think its a great upside play. aren't we a mid-major that's perennially bottom half of the conference? I’m going to assume you only read the bolded part. |

Under Wright, Nova only lost to a sub-100 KenPom team twice in his final 9 years. Neptune has lost to seven sub-100 in his first 2.

I want Nova to win tonight. Normally I would root for Penn in this matchup but a Nova win assures us of a matchup with St. Joe's if we beat Temple and a 3rd place game with Nova if we don't. I prefer that to playing Penn if we wind up in the 3rd place game.

Beat Temple, and we have a game against the Hawks for the Big 5 Title. Lose to Temple, and we can smack Jig and send Neptune to the unemployment line. Swap out the D3 game for Penn, and all is well at 20th and Olney.

The new Big 5 format is kind of silly…if it plays out that ^ way we’d see St. Joe’s 3 times in the regular season. Might even play them 4 times this year if we see them in the A10s.

Many teams have d3 schools on the schedule though, across DI. Not specific to La Salle

It's not a trend I'm interested in following. Alot of D1 football teams play FCS teams. When the Irish played Tennessee State last year, I was pissed.

Spent a week crying in my bedroom. Last year, the Blue Hens (then in the lower division) went to Happy Valley and got waxed 63-3. I hope they got a good pay day for a game that helped neither team. |
