Nice article about the Jacobs twins in today's Inquirer. Sorry I never figured out how to post a link. Being from Australia they never get home for the holidays but it sounds like the coaches and their teammates look out for them and they make the best of it. Happy Thanksgiving to the La Salle community and the Jacobs twins.

Replay can be viewed on ESPN+. First quarter was a bit sloppy, but they put together a strong 4th qtr to pull away. The Lady Explorers have piqued my interest. Competitive, well coached team. Hoping for some alot more W's as the season progresses.

Neutral site game, A10 showcase.
Rematch with VCU looms large. Shouldn't have lost to them last year. Game was stolen from us.

The women team are more exciting than the men team. I believe that the women team have a better chance of making to the NCAA tournament this year. Every years the team improve and getting better every game. We should put our energy on the women team than the men this year.

Closed GMU game on 13-0 run to win 63-53, and last year closed same opponent out, 16-0. The depth of the team makes for some 4th quarter domination. Really great to see.
Cotye-Lysius hit the shot that iced the game. She is 6 for 16 from deep for the season, a quiet and efficient weapon who's continued to grow integral to the team's success as a freshman.

Women took apart a decent Richmond team on a very special day for Coach Mt. So happy for him and the program. What a turnaround.

Third place in the A10, the double bye is certainly within reach if things continue to go this well. Shooting 50% from both the floor and from three today, it was amazing to see their poise and efficiency as they won all four quarters.
Mountain was still working the officials with an 18 point lead and 5 min to go. I really liked to see that. And Claire joined the #1000 points club.

I haven't seen any games, but it appears that Mountain is doing an outstanding job with this program. I'll have to tune into the game on Wednesday night. Except for the game against UK, team appears to be in EVERY game, and they do not quit. Kudos to the Coach for putting a competitive team on the floor.

Though the Hawks might be down this year, nice win tonight for the ladies over SJU of PA. Crawford had 22 and 12 while Spruill had 21 Crawford is the most efficient scorer we've ever had. Almost everything she takes goes in. She was 10/17 from the floor today in 29 minutes. At least two of her three fouls were hustling after rebounds and loose balls, but I've never seen lapses on defense or bailing them out with a foul late in the shotclock. Great to see.

Press Conference : WBB vs Davidson 2.16.22
Check out starting at 1:40 on timer : " Q. What was different about the way you played Davidson tonight ? A. We're just not running as much. Our transition offense has not been successful, and I'm humble enough to admit it ".

Claire Jacobs secured the offensive rebound and putback, with just 0.2 on the clock to beat Duquesne, 67-66.
The way Duquesne defends always gives us fits. La Salle was also recipient of an overturned call in the 2nd quarter. After a made three pointer, Kayla Spruill was called for an offensive foul. The bench appealed the call, and the crew went to the video monitor. They credited the basket before the foul, so the Explorers were up by 10 instead of 7. These points wound up being very critical in the end as Duquesne and La Salle traded leads 15 times. The Dukes also left 7 points on the free throw line.

Coach Ash should use the same blueprint Coach Mountain use for the women team. I’m more pump up for the women than the men team. Go Explorers.

Saw the final putback. Jacobs would be a hell of a taps partner.

Kayla was named to the 1st team All-A10 yesterday. Only the 5th player in La Salle history that received that honor. Congrats to her on this achievement.

Congratulations to the women team for a successful 2021-22 season. Disappointed loss to GW yesterday in the quarterfinals of the A10 tournament. Also thank to all the senior on the roster for a successful four years. Thank you and Go Explorer.
