A recruit that had production. I will take it. Hopefully she finds a home at La Salle. Women’s program is ahead of the men’s program in their respective rebuilds. A recruit that had production?!? Must be nice. We wouldn’t know what that’s like.

Surprising and disappointing news : looks as if senior PG Kate Hill will not be returning to the Lady Explorers as a grad student for her 5th and final ( COVID-19 ' do-over ' ) year of eligibility. Her name is no longer listed on the WBB 2021-22 Roster. Thus far her name has also not appeared on the Transfer portal.
Thanks Kate for your hard work, constant hustle, grit, tenacity, good example, dedication and valuable contribution to helping to rebuild the Lady Explorers basketball Program !

Thus far it appears that of the six ( 6 ) former La Salle WBB players currently listed in the NCAA Transfer portal, only 2 ( Deja King - grad transfer to Webber International, and Kayla Richardson - Monmouth University ) have accepted offers elsewhere.
Tough year to try to transfer ( due to omnipresent 2020 COVID-19 ' do-over ' extra year of eligibility ).

The women team with Coach Mountain come a long way in three years in getting blown out by 50 against Oregon in Coach Mountain first year and come from behind to beat Penn St. in his third years. In the three years the win column improved. Great job Coach Mountain.

I guess what gymrat is saying is that none of these players are on the roster at this point. Maybe the online roster hasn't been update recently?

La Salle WBB 6'-1" freshman Center Morgan Adams has now added her name to the Transfer portal. Is that 4 now? As hykos1045 had predicted earlier, former La Salle transfer 6 - 2" sophomore Center Morgan Adams now appears on the 2021 - 22 WBB Roster for Div. III Messiah University in Mechanicsburg, PA. The Messiah Lady Falcons ( 11 - 0 ) in 2020 -21 won their fifth straight MAC Commonwealth Championship.

For reasons unknown, Latvia native, 5'- 6" sophomore guard Jete Nulle no longer appears on the La Salle WBB Roster for 2021 - 22. Nulle had been expected ( by many ) to assume Kate Hill's former ball handling / distributor role at PG this season.

Media day provided a bombshell announcement that Molly Mass will be running the majority of the point this year, and just had 13 assists in the scrimmage. (With no prior knowledge, I'd just been expecting we'd have a freshman at the point.) Coach Mountain also said we expect to lose no players this upcoming year, which means they have two years to grow together. He also touted Claire Jacobs working on her passing out of coverage and improving her overall efficiency in addition to being one of the team's leading scorers.
With no fewer than four doubleheaders scheduled this year, I'm hoping more of you will take advantage of this convenience and plan to arrive a bit early for the men's games to see at least the second half of some women's games.

(With no prior knowledge, I'd just been expecting we'd have a freshman at the point.) while she's averaging 6 assists over the first two games, she's shooting 2 for 21 from the floor. molly is a nice role player but she just doesn't have the foot speed or ball handling skills to be the # 1 point guard. does anyone know why crawford and tahata have not played the first two games? i expected crawford in particular to be a low post presence for this team. i didn't see any reference to either of them in the game notes.

I have come to an unofficial conclusion that she must not be eligible for us until Fall of 2022 because this is her second transfer. From the NCAA guide on transfer eligibility: "Prior Transfers Q3: What if a student-athlete previously transferred from a four-year school and would like to transfer again? A3: Generally, a student-athlete who has previously transferred from another four-year school would not qualify for the one-time exception. There is an additional exception to this application if their previous transfer was due to the discontinuation or nonsponsorship of their sport at their original school."

Despite their being freshmen, I think coach Mountain should experiment during the next few OOC games with alternating Kenya Cote-Lysius and Julie Jekot at the PG position.

Molly had 6 assists to zero turnovers against Drexel, and runs a pretty darn good point with multiple skillsets and very few unforced errors. It's time to fire any armchair coaches who say otherwise! She was never positioned on this roster to be the team's leading scorer nor rebounder, but is a good enough scorer from anywhere on the court and does collect a number of rebounds and steals which creates huge match-up problems for her opponents.

Either you didn't see the game last night at all, or you and I must have been watching two different basketball games in parallel universes. IMO the reason Molly Mass played so well last night is because she was back at her normal SG / wing position and ( as some of us country bumpkins had suggested ) " armchair coach " MacGillvray had several others ( e.g., Kenya Cote-Lysius, Jaye Haynes, etc. ) rotating and helping out at the PG position. Prediction : By the time the A-10 Conference schedule begins on January 1st , " armchair coach " MacGillvray will have Kenya Cote- Lysius and Julie Jekot alternating / rotating at PG, which will free up Molly Mass to roam all over the court doing all of the other things that she does so well. Remember you heard it here.

Oh, no. No one is coming for Mountain's job, least of all me. Please note the hyperbole in my original "armchair coaches" statement, and also, have some self awareness.
You got me, though... I didn't watch this game, I just read what I got out of the box score. I'm sure we'll see what happens at the actual game Saturday.
