next wednesday they're doing some type of welcome party for ashwin puri. i got an email invite a couple weeks ago but can't make it. i was thinking this might be where the arena announcement might happen. I wouldn't think they would make the announcement then unless Puri was the one announcing it. If Allen announces it at Puri's welcome party it would upstage Puri. |

So at a power 5 school (is that a thing still) I’d agree but nobody cares about La Salle’s athletic director. If I was them, I’d make it the biggest event ever with a new AD and a new arena experience.
Btw, got the story about why he’s at La Salle despite a stellar resume. Like it more. Can’t wait to meet him.

Thinking a bit outside the box here….why go to Penn for games when Temple has a nice gym, and they are closer. Technically, what is the difference between asking Penn to borrow their court and asking Temple? Also, I believe we actually have someone on our coaching staff who used to be at Temple, but his name escapes me. Maybe he could arrange something. ;-) I would still be ok with a few games McGonigle Hall, even if construction delays force it to occur for the non conf, as long as we open 2025 A10 play at JGArena(!). What I would never want is paying the extraordinarily high rent for Liacouras and then seeing most of it empty. A few November weekend Double headers at Liacouras with Temple and La Salle, to encourage packaged ticket sales for either team, though, could present an interesting opportunity such as, allowing all season ticket holders of each program to access the other program's tickets for the transitional season at a steep discount. |

JoeF : The only things I was suggesting be posted separately / permanently are the caption of the story and the URL of the Phila. Inquirer newspaper article, NOT all of the individual photographs that are in the photo slideshow. I didn't think this subject necessarily merited it's own new thread either, but no one will ever be able to find it again buried in this thread as it is named / labeled. |

I'm assuming that to do the renovations, permits will need to be filed with the city. Does anyone with experience in this know what the turnaround time is for these and is there a site where these can be viewed?
