If no one else is going to say it, I will. This is stupid. They act like something big is happening, what this really means is we are putting unnecessary funds into a sinking ship. Congratulations La Salle, I have come to expect exactly that from you guys. Lipstick on a pig is too generous. This is lipstick on a piece of 10 year old hatfield Ham. Agreed. Just pathetic. |

Maybe I missed this last season, but in that video it looks like the baseline Wall-O-Ads is gone and painted over. I wonder what else is changing… Good eyesight. A new poster scooped all of us! |

I like the former Explorers and La Salle history being hidden in the background in a lighter shade of blue in the mural. Looks really cool. Well done in my opinion. I think the facility speculation kinda put a damper on the rollout. |

The wall is fine and looks nice. Props to whomever thought of that. However, it will not improve the quality of recruit La Salle gets which is the biggest problem with our program.

Also...wasn't this the wall they were going to blow out if they redid The Gola? the olney ave wall won't need to be blown out for the gola reno that we got pictures of a couple years ago. the court will be flipped. |

the mural looks fine, but imo, it makes gola look even more like a high school gym. something like this belongs in a practice facility or on the wall in the entrance to trumark.
i can't believe someone in the athletic department made the decision to put a teaser out for this. it didn't warrant it. they painted a wall for christ's sake.

I have no problem with this. I think it is an innovative way to give what we have now have a better look and feel. They are making an effort to enhance the fan, student and student athlete experience and think it is well executed. It does a great job of honoring the legacy of La Sale hoops in a modern way. I have heard the the players love it. No, its not a new arena but it improves what we have until that can get accomplished.
No problem with the rollout either. The Athletic Department likely looking to build up some excitement to inviting fans back in after a yearlong absence.

WTF we drop the baseball, softball, volleyball, and Tennis program for a f*cking mural in the Gola. They might well use the Glazer donation to build an extension to the library or the business building. That the best look building on campus. Way to go AD.

Any word on these secret renovation plans we’ve been told about? Been months and missed a giving day when legitimate energy could have been developed
I feel AWFUL even saying this out loud but at least with Br. Mike and Brennan we knew nothing was going to happen so there was no hope. Feels like now we get these teased waves of excitement but nothing is eventually confirmed and it’s just constant teasing

We are 2 months into the season and still no announcement of any sort from Baptiste regarding facilities. He needs to be talking to people, coming down to The Hideaway pre-game and interacting, building excitement and communicating the plans. The role of Athletic Director needs to be more outwardly visible and talking with the few fans and donors left showing up. He needs to be present and a presence.
It was a morgue at The Gola last night. The Bonnies probably had 200-300 fans there making a lot of noise toward the end of the game.
If in the next two months there is still no announcement, it is an epic fail. The new coat of paint and smoke machines from Spencers at the mall aren't cutting it.
