Putting this up for tomorrow night's game. There's a lot of talk about this game in other threads, so trying to funnel it all in to here.
Couple opportunities the next few games. But I don't think there's any chance we take a game off St. Louis Saturday, so if we're gonna do it, I think tomorrow needs to be the night. Tall order on the road I know.

Howard Eskin on the news last night said St Joes is close to getting a tourny bid and if they beat St Louis they would be in. Our plan was knock off VCU, St Louis, and UMass and do the same. We just have to keep playing hard and hope to win the A 10 tourney and in the meantime win enough games to ensure an NIT bid. I would like to see these seniors go out with a bang.

I hope the Explorers give themselves a chance to win at the end. We cannot get beat down by 10 or more points tonight as this game is on national tv. Garland must somehow re-gain his outside shooting touch that he never really had. Duren must take command early and get Zack and Wright early touches. Mills has to hit open jumpers... and he will be left open more often then not.

Howard Eskin on the news last night said St Joes is close to getting a tourny bid and if they beat St Louis they would be in. Please, you can't be serious quoting that buffoon Eskin. He doesn't know squat about college basketball. St Joe's has to do a good bit more than beat St Louis to be assured a bid. Right now, they are 2-5 against the RPI Top 100. Depending on who you talk to, La Salle was either the last or next to last at-large bid last year and they had five Top 100 wins, with two of them being against the top 25. The Hawks need to win at least three more Top 100 games to get in and one of them probably needs to be SLU or VCU. They've got a decent shot with seven of their last nine games being against Top 100 teams, but just beating SLU is nowhere near enough.

Eskin's an idiot. Right or wrong, he's still a bozo.

Jerrell has to get enough minutes. I am SICK AND TIRED of seeing him get 6 or 8 of La Salle's first ten points and then being sat down for extended minutes.
And this does not necessarily involve fouls. It's G's rotation that drives me nuts.

Really don't know how I feel about this game. We have a little bit of help with Esho injured and they havent really been playing well.
Howard Eskin may be an idiot but I take him over that moron on WIP nowadays Mike Misseneli, that guy is a f'in douche.
G obsession with subing and his rotation bothers me a lot. Really hope the explorers can capitalize however. Rohan needs more playing time, he athletic enough to play with the pace of UMass. Zack gotta shut down Lulanne. Be great for him to follow up last weeks performance with an excellent one at UMass. Also, like to see Lewis guard Chaz, need to get a ace defender on him.
SJU isn't far out of the convo a win tonight would have them in the conversation but they for sure need at least one more top 50 win and a few top 100 wins.

Esho being out tonight is a big deal. Umass has a great starting 5 but lack depth. Esho was a very talented sixth man, and his absence is key. Wright needs to pound down low and get putney and lallane in foul trouble. Chaz can only do so much especially with lewis and mills on him. If we get solid minutes from both our bigs I think we have a shot to win a close one. If they are in foul trouble we will get beat down inside

As much as it pains me to say it, somehow with no real depth (especially at the guard position) St. Joe's has an opportunity to dance if they play well down the stretch. But they have to do a good bit more than just beating St. Louis at home tonight.

Back to tonight, I'm hoping the weather doesn't stop ODOG from making an appearance. He's been MIA on the board for a while, but he lives up that way. Perfect night for the long ski caps with him and Big_A98

I have a good feeling about this game, so long as I don't see a 1-13 FG in the boxscore from any one of our guys.

I will be lucky to be home by halftime so will be unable to provide updates. If someone would be able to do that, it would be the bees knees.

Two point Explos win on a missed Chaz Williams fade away jumper. I have no idea what I'm doing.

No shortage of snow up there still, might luck out with a smaller crowd.
Edit: Apparently honoring all tickets for tonight to another game this year.

Zack with a double team and aweak foul call and G screams at him that is was a dumb foul. Sloppy defense early.
7-5 UMass with 1610 left
1522 left same score, Jerrell at the line for 2 when play resumes.

Not a fan of many pXp guys, but I've gotta say Sean Grande is doing a nice job. Seems like he's done his prep, unlike a lot of guys that have called our games.
