Obviously Ash is building the lineup he wants. I'll plug in a 6'4, 230lb point guard to any A10 lineup for the matchup problems alone. This commitment has big potential implications for this program.

this is great news. i'm very excited by our newest recruit. he's really skilled and can play three positions. love the potential of this 2019 recruiting class. it wouldn't surprise me if all four freshman get into the rotation plus clifton moore gets a year to work out with the staff.

Sherif Kenney was at one point very highly regarded with high major offers. From what I read he also played very well this past year as well. One guy said he was bummed he only got to watch Sherif play for 2 months he was so exciting to watch.
How La Salle was able to land him among the schools that had offered him at one time is pretty amazing.
In any event it looks like he is type of player that can help Ash elevate La Salle in the A-10.
Overall it looks like Ash has got himself a very solid first recruiting class. I am still very worried about rim protection but if this class lives up to what it looks like it can be Ash may be on his way to accomplishing what we thought he could do here. Especially if he follows up this class with another solid 2020 class.

This is a HUGE commitment.
This is one of La Salle's best recruiting classes on paper that I can remember. Great work by Ash and his staff.

From American to USA. Not much of an explorer, I guess south alabama was able to sell him on a package deal. one of his best friends from parkland hs (ac kelly) also committed there this week. kelly played for scotland prep who was the #1 ranked prep school team for most of 2018-19.

Wonder how long we talk about Osun... Of course you do. It is still a very real issue.. Program is probably 2 players away.. But it is certainly in the right direction..

It is still a very real issue.. Program is probably 2 players away.. But it is certainly in the right direction.. Trust the process This year's recruiting class was ranked #77 nationally by 247 sports before landing Sherif Kenney and that rating does not consider/include transfer Clifton Moore in its rating. That is probably the highest rated and deepest class in the previous ?? (you tell me) years. I'll guess at least 15 years and think it actually might be since the early 1990s. I agree with the "Trust the process" motto. I can't wait to observe these five incoming players develop, perform and take the program to a level we haven't seen, except in flash years, for a long time. Congratulations to Coach Ash and Ass'ts Kenny, Donnie, and Kyle for a terrific 2019 Recruiting Class.

VCU Basketball Verified account @vcu_Hoops Follow Follow @vcu_Hoops More We're thrilled to welcome Nah'Shon "Bones" Hyland (@bizzybones11) to our VCU family! #ThisIsRamNation #LetsGoVCU glad that things worked out for hyland. he's had a rough time of it the last year or two. he should do very well at vcu. i look forward to watching our talented guys go up against him over the next 4 years. but count me in the camp that believes la salle made out better getting sherif kenney. sherif is a perfect fit for our team. his versatility will allow him to play the 1, 2, and 3. by getting him, ayinde will not be forced to log 38-39 minutes a game, and it will give coach ash more flexibility and depth. and maybe it's me, but while i applaud the passion of vcu's fan base and wish la salle would have more of that, i hope our fan base doesn't resort to begging recruits to come to our school like vcu's did (and like rhode island's fans did with mcleod). i find it somewhat creepy that grown men and women beg 17-18 year old kids to come to their school on social media. twitter.com/BizzyBones11?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

I think Mr. D. was just highlighting how Leggett was targeted by the Oregon player and was a La Salle recruit at one time. We are out of scholarships with Ward enrolling this year.

Joe : I hope not for Chris Arcidiacono's sake. I personally think it would be a huge mistake for Chris to attempt to follow in his older brother's vaunted Nikes at Villanova rather than to blaze his own path at another top D-I Program, one on the rise like Penn State, or even go Ivy League at Penn or Princeton. The " Ryan Arcidiacono - Lite " negative comparison would, I fear, haunt him at Villanova for all of his collegiate career no matter how good he was in his own right.
Besides, ( currently injured ) Wildcats freshman guard 6'-3", 190 lbs, Colin Gillespie from Archbishop Wood is a virtual clone of Chris Arcidiacano, except that Gillespie is quicker and probably more of an all-around talent. Gillespie is already poised to move into Jalen Brunson's PG position at the end of this season for at least the next 3 years. Jay Wright also has ( currently injured ) 6'-5", 225 lbs, freshman Jermain Samuels waiting in the wings.
I am more than pleased to admit that I have been proven wrong about my above prognostication of 3+ years ago.
