Ash can also credibly say he’s been involved with developing/divvying minutes for multiple high-level guards who like to work with the ball in their hands at once. Not guaranteed to work, but he’s got successful casesvhe can point to. Arch last one at nova to step into huge role right away. Brunson, Gillespie have had to bide their time a bit.

Gillespie sat for a season...was 8th man off bench on a national championship team as a freshman.
I want more good guys. Don't care about where the minutes will go. If they don't want to come, so be it.

Also offered 2020 guard Deuce Turner from Malvern. Ash trying to load up with athletic point guards. I'm sure he would like to have two skilled points. Brickus acknowledged our offer while stating he was being under recruited. Sounds like he's looking above us. Another 2020 combo guard that La Salle has offered ( in May, 2018 as a sophomore ) but has virtually no chance of signing is Coatesville native, Huntingdon St. Joseph's Prep, Huntingdon, WV's 6'-2', 185 lbs., AJ Hoggard, who was rated a 2-star recruit at the time we offered but has now blown up into a 4-star Rivals rating as a high school junior, having already garnered something like 14 D-1 athletic scholarship offers thus far, including offers from Providence, DePaul and Seton Hall of the Big East, and other semi - bigs such as Virginia Tech and UConn.

Don't see us listed anywhere for Hoggard anymore.

Not that it matters, but La Salle is still listed re: AJ Hoggard by Verbal Commits. Otherwise, it appears that we are no longer being listed by the other recruiting sites.

I was looking at various JUCO websites to see if we are interested in any players. I guess I was a little early? We all know the troubles we have taking JC's but it has to be the right fit on and off the court. I was always wondering why other Catholic A10 schools could be involved but we were not. In my recent searches I saw St. Bona, SLU and DAY interested in players.

Anyone besides Karon Burton? I can't remember
I remembered arguing for recruiting Burton like 2 boards ago when he was a sophomore who looked 9 years old backing up Darrin Govens. LOVED the way he played. Only responses I got were that he was too small. Real shame what happened with him
Can't think of many JuCo players ever being in La Salle's rotation. Has there been any since Ron Barnes 30+ years ago?

Bobby Collins in the late 90's. K'Zell Wesson in the mid 90's.
Ramel Allen committed in 2000 but did not graduate so he was denied admission.

You'd think St. Bonnie's of all schools would stay as far away from JUCO recruiting as possible.

2020's RJ Davis played a major role in Archbishop Stepinac's (White Plains, NY) playoff win over St. Peter's last night. 32 points,8 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. La Salle was one of the first to give an offer in his freshman season and is now heavily recruited.
Sophomore and 5-star prospect Adrian Griffin, Jr. poured in 39 points for the Crusaders.

Mt. Zion Prep lost in the Elite 8 of the National Prep School Championship to Massanutten 87-84. No details on Ayinde Hikim. His teammate Rob Carpenter is 6-7 215 '19 SF from MI. He had 40 points in the loss. Recently received offers from SLU and UMASS. SBU (of course) and SJU (PA) have offered according to Verbal Commits. I hope Ash and staff have interest.

I just read somewhere La Salle was one of the schools interest in Carpenter. Maybe teammates Ayinde and Carpenter can do for us what teammates Kyle Lofton and Osun Osunniyi have done and will do for St. Bonaventure? One can only hope.

It appears from Ayinde's tweet that Rob Carpenter will not be a teammate in college. I took this tweet differently. Based on emoji usage, I’m thinking there’s a chance he comes here as well.
