It appears from Ayinde's tweet that Rob Carpenter will not be a teammate in college. I took this tweet differently. Based on emoji usage, I’m thinking there’s a chance he comes here as well. don't know what la salle's chances are, but ayinde is certainly trying to get him to come here. great stuff.

We could use a Carpenter. We clearly have some wood to chop and a big gap in our lineup at the 6-7” spot. As 88 said, we could use some mojo of Carpenter following his PG like OSUn did to St Bonnie. They are a double bye A10 4 seed. If Rob comes on board I could see a similar path.

As we all know, St Bonaventure is one of the Final 3 schools in the running to possibly land 6'-10" Osun Osunniyi at tonight's Putnam Science Academy National Championship Dinner announcement tonight.
However, don't look now but irrespective of whether or not the Bonnies also sign OO, head coach Mark Schmidt and his coaching staff have been absolutely killing it so far this year in their recruiting for 2018-19 and beyond :
1. Jaylen Poyser - 6'-4" SG junior transfer from UNLV ( sat out this past season ) -- 4 star recruit out of Orangeville Prep in Toronto, CN -- #1 high school player in Canada in 2015 ;
2. Kyle Lofton -- 6'-4" PG from Union Catholic H.S. in Hillside, NJ and Putnam Science Academy ( starting PG on same National Championship team with Osun Osunniyi );
3. Bobby Planutis - 6'-8" SF -- transfer from Mt. St. Mary's -- will have 3 years of eligibility after sitting out next season;
4. Dominick Welch - 6'-5" Wing -- scored 2700 pts in high school ( 30.4 ppg ). Spent this past year at Spirit Institute Prep school in Ohio ;
5. Alpha Okoll - 6'-5" SG -- St. John Bosco H.S. in Torrance, CA ; and
6. Melkisedek Moreaux -- 6'-6" SF/ PF --- JUCO transfer with 2 years of eligibility.
Needless to say, should the Bonnies also win the Osun Osunniyi Sweepstakes this evening, this could well become one of the greatest St. Bonaventure recruiting classes of all time.
This group is not that good..the bonnies are just reaching...Ash came to the A10 and now everyone is picking and grabbing players... Attachment Deleted

Not to beat the proverbial dead horse, but I watched the live streaming video of the Osun Osunniyi announcement at 7 pm last night ( the video of which can still be viewed on the Putnam Science Academy Twitter site -- at 8:15 to 11:05 minutes on the timer ), and in his prefatory remarks PSA head coach Tom Espinosa mentioned that following La Salle's dismissal of it's entire coaching staff " Osun had a very difficult decision to make ... he ultimately wanted to go back ( to La Salle ) but it just didn't work out with the new coaching staff ".
Why are you bringing someone's actual thoughts into this? I was completely happy with it being emotional guessing. … just sayin'

Verbal Commits shows him as a 2020 PG. He is a 2019 kid who is thinking of reclassifying into 2020 because he didn’t like his offers. Perhaps an A-10 offer will keep him in 2019.

Given that there are now 3 open and available scholarship slots, when and how will we begin to see evidence of Kenny Johnson's involvement / influence / AAU connection's, etc. with regard to this year's remaining Ash Howard initial recruitment class ? IMO we still need a rim protector, a 3-point wing assassin and a another combo guard with above-average size ( a la Jack Clark ).

I know a school with a bunch of scholarships to give...including one already given to a teammate. So what are the chances Jameer and Jameer come as a package deal to a school that will have them, with Sr. as an assistant?

zero for him to be an assistant. Apparently they offered him that at SJU instead of the head coach job. Hmmm...would Jameer let his son come to another Big 5 school? That would be like Rick Brunson letting his son go to Villanova.....oh wait....

As someone who doesn’t follow this, how good is his son? I love the idea of sticking it to the Hawks if he’s worth it
