Weird night tonight- only one game on a Wednesday, which is usually the big night for mid-week games. St. JOe's beat UMass. Tomorrow night (besides us) GM-Fordham at 7 (CBSSN) St. Bonaventure-Duquesne at 7. Friday Night: VCU-St. Louis 7PM (ESPN2) Actually, it's GW vs. Fordham, not Mason vs. Fordham. Not sure if you just typed the M instead of a W by mistake.

I did. I never call Mason "GM". Type-o. W and M couldn't be further away in the keyboard so I don't really know what my excuse is lol.

Saw Langston Galloway had a big game for the Knicks vs the Sixers. He hit a 3 to seal it. Sixers were making a run and he shut the door. Is our Gallaway playing professionally anywhere?

Langston hit a dagger 3 from the corner, I like his game, and watching him at St. Joes, I never thought he was an NBA player...just goes to show you all it takes is one dance partner (NBA team) opportunity to dance.

VCU squeaks by 63-61.
In an eerie coincidence, Shaka bemoans that "I don't think the average fan has any idea how hard it is to win an Atlantic Ten game,"

I'm watching the end of Dayton-Richmond on SNY in New York. Dyaton just hit a 3 to go up 1 over Richmond with just under 5 left.
Also, Mason has a 3 point lead on Davidson with 2:30 to go.
GW beat the crap out of Duquesne earlier today.

If someone wants to venture in, I would LOVE to see a greatest hits of the St. Joseph's of PA fan comments tonight.

Guesses on Tuesday's line? Explos by 7. Tough cover, considering how much harder it is to win a combo A-10/Big Five game...

Take St Joes. Martelli gets his kids up for these games.

Guesses on Tuesday's line? Explos by 7. Tough cover, considering how much harder it is to win a combo A-10/Big Five game... I know a little about gambling, but not nearly as much as some. That being said, I wouldn't make La Salle a 7-point favorite against 0-18 Florida A&M, who is DFL/No. 351 in the college RPI rankings. Way too inconsistent.

I know people who know a little about gambling and La Salle has virtually no respect from Vegas with regard to a home court advantage. One of the biggest fallacies is that all home teams get the same 3-4 home court advantage. We get 1 point.
Which school has the biggest home court advantages (in top 3 roughly)and it's not Duke or even Kentucky? Answer is Denver with nearly 8 point home court advantage due to the altitude and Princeton style of play.

Good points on the line, bhh and jb. Agree that 7 seems high but the line was 13 vs. Penn and 4 vs. UMass so pulled 7 outta my a$$. 4 or 5 seems more like it.
Overbrook paid the price for looking past the Quakes and toward their difficult combo A-10/Big Five clash vs. the Explos

Guesses on Tuesday's line? Explos by 7. Tough cover, considering how much harder it is to win a combo A-10/Big Five game... With this game I see us at a bit of a crossroad for the season. For a number of reasons a loss in this game would be quite troubling from where I sit (Big 5 game, A 10 standings/stature, etc.)! Make a notable statement about where this team is heading. But unfortunately a loss is also very possible I believe. With the exception of Bembry, I beleive we field greater man for man developed talent, and certainly we are a more seasoned squad. But if a win comes down to who plays better team basketball I think we will likely be on the short end here. In general, I strongly suspect that any opposing coach looks forward to playing against our largely schoolyard O salivating, looking forward to feasting defensively on its many flaws. And BTW, our D seems to be slipping more and more in the same bad direction. ......oh, and we shoot fouls like chumps. Can't deny, we have had some bright spots. But, the Hofstra and GW games seem more like aberrations. Quality play does not really feel like a deliverable we can expect from this squad. I have little doubt St Joes will bring both heart and head to this game tuesday night. Us? Though I have shaky confidence, a win tuesday is certainly possible for us. Perhaps our young gunners (Price and Roberts) get hot against St Joes. I believe, the law of averages is with us here. They are certainly due! Of course it could also be a game changer if they played with better heads and handles for this one.

"I am calling it the way it is: [Penn] didn't guard some of our guys," said St. Joseph's coach Phil Martelli, whose team is 8-10 and 1-2 in the Big Five. "So I have scholarship guys not being guarded, and I have to do more to put them in better positions to excel."
After scraping his team from under the bus, here's hoping Frankentelli's busy designing an offense to get his scholarship guys guarded against the Explos...

The GW doesn't look as good as previously thought. They are overrated. I don't understand them at all. They have a ton of talent and a very good coach, but they've fallen off a cliff the last several weeks.

America East coach from an upper northeast state school with Big Ten experience as an assistant in his first mid-major job. Sounds like a great profile.

The GW doesn't look as good as previously thought. They are overrated. I couldn't help but notice on the broadcast last night when they showed the standings that we were GW's only loss and GM's only win. What an enigmna this team is.
