College Gameday schedule will be announced tomorrow at 11:00am per a tweet from ESPN's Brett Edgerton late this afternoon. Can't wait.

The chaos that will happen that game if this does indeed to be true is beyond comprehension. I imagine a lot of folks are going to head down to see the Gameday crew and then have absolutely nothing to do for the next few hours except to drink... and drink... and drink...

I wonder of they will allow a re-entry in order for this to occur. I said last week it was going to be Wednesday at 11:00, I guess I just had the wrong week I sure as hell hope Broderick has his facts straight otherwise he might have to go the way of vasalos to ExplorertownBracketologist only in a negative manner.

Oh if it turns out to be wrong I'm indiscriminately banning people until I'm the only one left, talking to myself and all my alter egos about officiating conspiracies.

The rest of us will be forced to relocate to the A10 board, where they're convinced all Explorer fans are conspiracy theorists and nut jobs.

I haven't checked the A10 board since Xavier left because I don't see the point in reading the annual preseason pissing match between Dayton and UMass.

Regret. I should have known it was the same UMass/Dayton clusterf*** like always. That and La Salle's level of teams are what ruined the A10, how we're still a burden to the league, high school gym yada yada yada... But it's cool, we didn't change much on there either. Still rubbing it in that we won a National Championship 60+ years ago.

Still rubbing it in that we won a National Championship 60+ years ago. We should just be more thankful for Dayton lowering themselves to play in a league with us. That's all they're trying to say. A massive, nationally renowned program like that has every right to feel superior, on the basis of artificially inflated RPI numbers during years where they finish in the middle of the A-10 pack. I need to stop going back on there; it's overrun with touchy UD fans with nothing meaningful to say, lashing out at criticism and collectively wanking over their team because they've overrated their talent level again.

In Dayton's defense, they've been told to overrate their talent levels for years by the national pundits. But touchy is right. But who isn't - Hawk Hill has been firmly teetering on Suicide Hill for the last 7 months, and the first moment they mention La Salle, we've got a mobilized interwebs platoon barking down their throats over at Hoop's Club. I think everyone is fair to critique and discuss, but they don't shit in our house and I don't necessarily think a Sweet 16 run gives us a license to do the same in theirs. A lot of them have taken it in stride, and probably shouldn't be so cool about it.
Anyway getting back on topic, everyone's touchy - maybe some Explo fans more than others. But by 11a, everyone on this board could be pulling a 'Steve' going ape shit bonkers if this doesn't pan out, or putting in for preemptive liver transplants in anticipation of University City bar crawls between the show and game. Let's hope it's the latter.

I wish our fans wouldn't post on other team boards. I sometimes read the SJU board, mostly because of their discussions about paying players and the implications for Atlantic 10 teams, but would never post there. I still do get angry at the A-10 board, mostly because of the arrogance of the Dayton fans (also, formerly Temple and some X fans) toward what they consider the bottom of the league.

And I feel like that arrogance is a part of why some of our fans feel the need to gloat now. Because we've taken a lot of abuse and condescension over there for a long time.

Geez just checked the A10 board....
So many threads are Dayton fans going off. The board usually is an onslaught of Dayton vs Xavier fans where Dayton pretends there program is on the same level as Xavier. SJU and Dayton are going to be in for a harsh reality this upcoming season.
Nonetheless our program still has a lot to prove, a sweet sixteen run helps but consistent success is defiantly the goal.

I was a little disappointed in some of the stuff I've seen from La Salle fans on other boards. I agree and I disagree with you guys. As far as the A10 board goes, other than this new poster A10LaSalle55, who has taken over for Explorer Steve in alienating the other A10 posters, I think the rest of the La Salle people there are pretty reasonable. As far as the St Joe's board goes, I don't think either of you have been posting long enough to know the full history there. I was banned from that board a couple years ago and the moderators there have blocked the IP addresses of both my work and home computers. For a few months after I was banned, I couldn't even read that board but I finally got access to read it when they did a board upgrade. After the completely unfair way they (in particular their board ringleader Cabrey) treated me on that board in addition to the steady stream of St Joe's posters who used to regularly troll the previous La Salle boards until the last couple of years, I have no problem with La Salle posters going on there and giving them a dose of their own medicine. Those St Joe's posters have short memories. There are some fair and reasonable posters there, but overall, that board has one of the most mean-spirited and arrogant collection of fans I've come across online, second only to Xavier. When things were going well for them, a number of them made it a point to come to the La Salle board daily and rip anything and everything about La Salle, as well as do it on their own board. Well, karma is a bitch, and if a handful of La Salle posters want to take exception to some of the garbage that is posted there, I say go for it. It's not like anyone is going there on the attack. The few posts I've seen there from La Salle people are mainly just a reaction to the typical anti-La Salle propaganda that some of them love to post.

I check the A10 board every once in awhile. I cracked up at A10Lasalle55 post about Dayton and UMass being overrated. While he was asking for it, I don't neccessarily disagree with him about Dayton. I haven't seen to much of his posts but this is the first one from him I seen that otherwise is "picking a fight." His reputation is fine so he can't be very out of line but than again I don't follow the board closely.
I dont understand why any of you guys would post on SJU's board your just asking for it. They clearly have a lot of problems with their program right now and things aren't looking to positive for this coming season. It is easy for them to attack La Salle but the picture is getting clearer at this point, La Salle rising and their dropping. Let them be, going on their board and agruing with them proves nothing. In a few years will have a better idea at where our programs are at. My guess is we continue to make the NCAA/NIT for a few years, Martelli gone and La Salle is developing/building new athletic facilities.

Minister of Propaganda Joseph Cabrey usually chimes in with a backhanded compliment about La Salle now and again. Cabrey is a snake. I forget all the specifics, but he pulled the most underhanded thing I've ever seen online. Since he was a moderator, he got the IP address of a Temple poster he didn't like, tracked it back to his employer, and emailed the guy's boss and tried to get him fired. After it happened, he denied it up and down but it fits his M.O.

Noon it is....
Hour long ESPNU show from 10-11, then the ESPN show from 11-12 and tip following the show:
The split site returns for the second straight season – this year opening weekend – at a new site and a veteran campus. The historic Palestra in Philadelphia will be the first stop on the GameDay tour showcasing Philadelphia Big 5 rivals La Salle vs. Temple (ESPN or ESPN2, Noon). The game at the Palestra will conclude ESPN’s “My Home Court” initiative – a week-long celebration of college basketball’s greatest venues. The show will then caravan to Storrs, Conn. – location of two previous GameDay’s, including the first telecast in 2005 – to showcase an American Athletic Conference meeting between Connecticut and Louisville as part of the Saturday Primetime game (ESPN, 9 p.m.).
