www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2013/04/freshman_guard_jordan_price_wi.html"The news was first reported by AuburnSports.com. Price's father told the website his son loves Auburn but he did not "mesh" with the basketball aspect of being a student-athlete. Price averaged 5.4 points in 14.8 minutes per game. The freshman guard was a sharpshooter from 3-point range, hitting 11 straight 3-pointers during one stretch in December to tie an SEC record."

I thought we had no scholarships left. How does this work?

We have one scholarship since Washington is not on scholarship. Wow, another big guard. 38%,39%,76% on FG, 3PG, and FT. Price

@jonrothstein: Jordan Price was a Top 50 recruit coming out of HS. Like Ramon Galloway + Tyrone Garland, he has a chance to reinvent himself at La Salle.

I'm in love with the potential here. That shooting ability on that frame? Reeks of mismatch in our favor

Reeks of mismatch in our favor Granting I've heard of him for about exactly 200 seconds right now, but that's certainly how the profile reads, isn't it? Pair him with Roberts as the 3 and 4 and it lets us play big without losing guard skill. Man. Transfers are the best.

Holy crap! G and his staff getting it done. You have to like this guy's size. The Sweet 16 run certainly is paying off for G and the team.

Great get for the future. Regarding the present, I saw Duren recently. From a quick glance, he looked more chiseled and less bulky. Can anyone confirm this is correct?

Another amazing transfer. How does G identify these guys. Also this may also affect some of the 2014 recruits we are have in line. Congrats to G and the staff.

Impressive. La Salle might not blink an eye retooling at guard for 2014-2015. And if Washington is still coming the frontcourt could be potent. Looks like la Salle will be a player in A10 and NCAA torurament contender for a while. Now about a new sports complex (around the armory?)...

We can offer Duren a max deal right? It dawned on me the other day that he was going to be a senior and I couldn't believe it.
We need to find the next Duren, and maybe we already have found him with Stukes
I'm with 71, how the hell ddi we land a kid that was playing ball in Alabama that was originally from GA and never had an offer from anyone in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast U.S.??
G is unreal.

2014-15 guard rotation: Sr. DJ Peterson RS Jr Khalid Lewis RS Soph Cleon Roberts replaces Tyreek Duren RS Soph Jordan Price replaces Sam Mills RS Fr. Amar Stukes replaces Tyreek Duren The backcourt is solidified for the next 3-4 years. G will only need to bring in one, maybe two guards in the next couple of recruiting classes. Would love to sign Duren to a lifetime contract, but everyone will be more than happy with Amar Stukes as his successor. Click on the link for a great picture. Amar looks like he's a legit 6'3" now. Tyreek Duren ?@tyreekduren 18h The past, present, and, future of Lasalle @rodneygreen10 and amar stukes http://instagram.com/p/bCmvn2DYWV

Plus it's always good to have a guy who's name sounds like a hot girl on the team. Watch out Taylor Dunn.

I have the same question as twc4591 above. Why is T. Washington not on Scholarship? Is he coming? At this point, we are flooded with high quality guards and weak at the wings and center. A team needs rebounds and a low post offense game to consistently win. Maybe 88 can shed some light on T. Washington.

As far as I know, Tony will be here but will sit out the 2013-14 season as a non-qualifier. I don't think he's allowed to actually enroll until August though. Only scholarship freshmen and transfers can attend the summer sessions.

Father Flanagan (G) strikes again. Truly amazing. Talk about big guard. Price is 6-5 230. Has La Salle ever had a true guard that big? Good 3pt shooter but also got to the FT line. Neither a great assist guy but not a turnover machine either. Saw he was Top 50-75 recruit coming out of HS. UCLA was after him ...among others. Wonder if Will Bailey had a hand in this. Wonder if this is another Sweet 16 bonus prize.
As mentioned earlier, Tony Washington could attend La Salle as a non-qualfier. Depends on financial package the school can put together.
Another piece of the backcourt puzzle taken care of. Three years eligible after a year where the staff can help refine Price's game. Might signal that Newton(and others) is leaning towards Nova. G fills spot with another guard who could score 8-10 pts in 2014-15.
Welcome

WOW!!!!!!! Made my day.
Last 4 star we had was Aaric Murray lets hope he turns out to be nothing like him. Gret player that G can develop, his type of player.
Duren leads this team so well. Him and Garland know what to do at the right time and communicate very well. Expecting great things from the two of them this year.
Even without them Wright Zack Price Cleon Peterson Lewis Stukes. Looks like continued potential for success.

Gives me an idea why he is not eligible.
