TD3 played well. He might be a victim of the very high expectations he created with his superb play. Too, the emotional stress of the tourney and physical stress of the traveling could have taken its toll on his energy level-we cannot possibly know. But he showed up, played hard and did his best. Love TD3.

Really impressed La Salle fought back in the second half when the game could have gotten out of hand. I know it sucks right now, but you guys won the second half. The first half was just too one-sided. I enjoyed learning so much about your program in the last week. I loved seeing Coach Marshall speak with Galloway for a few seconds after the game ... I'm fairly sure he was wishing him luck in the NBA. His 3 range is incredible. I think you guys had a great shot to beat a lot of Sweet 16 teams ... just wish you didn't have to play us. We have our flaws, but we were too much of a counter for you. Your shooters actually played very well considering how strong our defense was, and you guys did a great job adjusting to our interior play and making us play the perimeter more in the second half. Any team that was going to try to outscore you without great defense was going to be in for a hell of a game. Sweet 16 is a hell of an accomplishment. And losing only one senior, I can't wait to see you guys in next year's tourney. Thanks very much and thanks for your posts. The better team won. We had no answers in first half to Hall. Credit your coach for that in the game plan. Your defense cut off the lane which is a big part of our game and they defend the three. Good luck versus Ohio State. i think you match up pretty well with them. You have a friend in Philly. Come back here anytime. Maybe you can give us a scouting report on Northern Iowa. We might see them next year in the Virgin Islands. |

Bump- Also reading this thread for the first time- if that was a reg season OOC game there would be more reason to be pissed, but lets face the fact that we are not here to win the title, it's just not going to happen. Maybe we could get a final 4, but that would've meant a bit of a miracle. Anyway, just fun to re-live this a little bit and its nice to say that the new "if only" now relates to possibly making an Elite 8 as opposed to a winning season, meaning, if only Zack had not gotten hurt maybe we could've beat WSU |
