I'm good with this as long as no alumni walk on the court at Chapel Hill. It could distract the team from winning like it most assuredly did at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Better than the Giannini schedule of all bus trips to Mount St. Mary's and CCSU.

Better than the Giannini schedule of all bus trips to Mount St. Mary's and CCSU. Steal one of these top ACC games and you get a lot of eyeballs

We have a good chance of beating UNC with majority of their main contributors graduating or transferring. I hope with don’t play any D3 schools next season.

We do not have a good chance at beating UNC All it took was 1 out of 14,000,605 chances for the Avengers to beat Thanos

We do not have a good chance at beating UNC Any chance Jig can get us a game with SC after we go to Chapel Hill? These coaches should start getting creative and tie games up to teams that get their players through the portal.

I would think the coaches would have to buy into the whole transfer portal “thing” moreso than today (if that makes sense). Many still are not happy with it and are minimizing their level of involvement. “Need X to get me Y…I’m done after that”. That’s an interesting thought you have though…Do you think the player is willing to do that? Or will a large majority of them only focus on themselves and their package?

Schools started doing it when coaches left, I remember VCU getting games against Texas and LSU.
I hear several coaches saying something to the effect of "we don't like the new system, but what can we do?"
Either the coaches can make gentlemen agreements not to recruit within conferences (like the SEC did with football) or they have to have games, transfer fees, something something assigned to these players as a cost of obtaining them.
La Salle and Kutztown recruited Steven Smith. If Texas wanted him after 2004 to play along with Lamar Aldridge, La Salle needs to get something for acquiring and developing a player that wasn't ready for, or flew under the radar of the Big 12 out of high school.

It would be nice but La Salle isn’t owed anything. You’re suggesting gentleman’s agreements for an industry where it’s completely cutthroat and those agreements can’t be enforced legally and we’re probably years away from any real reining in of this activity.
