Help defense continues to be strong. Biggest difference the last few games has been the defensive improvement.

Playing very well but still make bonehead plays that will kill us in games we don’t play this well.
Brantley just caused a 5 point swing with a terrible Pass and then on defense he fouls at the rim where they convert. Just terrible mental basketball.

Jocious all around game improving. But still could use a hand transplant and the Gus treatment in the weight room!

For crying out loud, Rokas dropped a perfect pass from Brickus wide open under the rim for a dunk to end the half. No one was 10 feet from him and he dropped it.
This summer that kid needs to catch 5000 passes a day. If his hands were better he would a very good player.

Jocious all around game improving. I just complained about him dropping that dime from Brickus. He is maddening sometimes but have to give him credit for his improvement.

We up by 14 42-28 against URI. Defense playing well today and the help defense is great. Brantley (12 points), Brickus (6 points and 3 assists) and Gill (5 points and 4 rebounds) playing great in the first half. We just keep playing the same in the first half and the victory is in the bag

Minimize the dumb plays so if they make a run it does not erase the lead.

Just got back from the game. Rokas played very well. Scored, rebounded blocked some shots and altered a few more. It was a team effort but Rokas was big!

La Salle is up to 195 from 248 on Kenpom during the 3 game win streak. Really impressed with the team over the streak. A top 175 finish and winning record is within sights.

Jocious all around game improving. I just complained about him dropping that dime from Brickus. He is maddening sometimes but have to give him credit for his improvement. Health has a lot to do with it this season but still needs to progress in the offseason.. Lower half injuries are just really tough especially when you are so tall.. You can’t jump and that hurts in basketball.. But as the old adage goes.. you just can’t teach height…

Back from the game. It was quite a game. As several people mentioned, the help D was vastly improved and really was one of the keys to the game. Everyone shot well except for Brickus, but he played well nonetheless and had a 5 to 1 A/TO ratio. Brantley and Brickus play very well together. I hope we get to see another year of it.
Rokas played very well although his hands are still a problem and he needs to learn to go stronger to the basket, but he looked much better.
Shepherd's slam was epic. I haven't seen a dunk like that since Stevie Black. He muscled through two RI defenders leaving nothing but their jocks behind. He also elevated for a rebound later in the game where someone sitting close by screamed at his kid "Did you see that? His shoulders were above the rim!" He really has some serious hops.
It was a fun game to watch. Definitely a team effort today. Congrats to all of the players.

Rokas has improved very much. Injury or not, he lacked effort in the beginning of the season. Only issue with him today is his dunk attempt in the second half he blew and barked at the ref for a foul when he needs to just FINISH and play bigger. Clearly we are a better team with him playing the way he is. Let’s make it 4 in a row!

Today was a great revenge win against URI 84-61. This was a great overall team effort today against URI. The defense was excellent great with 8 steals, 6 blocks and 14 forced turnovers. Jocius (20 points and 6 rebounds) and Brantley (22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists) played a great overall game. Shepherd (13 points and 8 rebounds) was a human highlight on the court. Gill (8 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists) played great coming off the bench. Congratulations to Brickus (11 points and 5 assists) in passing Donnie Carr for 9th all time assists leader. My armchair coach player of the game is Jocius. In our three games winning streak, Jocius averaged 12.3 ppg and 5 rpg. Now we playing 500 basketball and on Wednesday against Duquesne, let keep this winning streak going baby. Let go baby.
