this is why what fans say, sometimes here, and especially with those over at Restore Our Tradition - is sometimes very misinformed. I was told that G didn't want this game - there was another non conference game he wanted. Secondly, I am sure if they could they would have had shoot around and walk thru Tuesday night. But a lot of that becomes dependent on arena availability and the like - things out of G's control. Surely, they should have been able to get into the arena around noon on Wednesday for walk thru and shoot around. EDIT - I am unsure who told him he had to play this game - sometimes ADs step in and make decisions that coaches don't like. Happens in HS and college. Doesn't really matter that it was a Miami home game. We needed to treat it like a home game. G should have had the team out there shooting treys not only pre-game but as soon as court was configured to get used to the environment/odd configuration of arena. Can't go 0 for 15 in a game and expect to beat ANY division one opponent... G blew a golden opportunity there. The team was there the day before and had a shoot around on the court as well as pregame. Shots are not going to go in at times. But the difference between the Miami game and last night was that we got stops, rebounds and turnovers leading to easy baskets. Now add a couple of 3's but a lot of 2's and foul shooting and we have a W against Miami as well.

It being a Miami home game has nothing to do with gym availability for a neutral court game. And you can't blame 1 bad shooting game on a coach without knowing what they did. You literally have NO IDEA, NONE, NADA, ZILCH, when they got onto the court and whether they shot the ball or did shell drill.
