51-39. Tony got blocked and they hit another 3. 2:10 left. BJ has been good. Pookie has stepped it up this half. As my son says "you have no one else to help."

Miami was ripe for the upset. If we had half a decent O we take them down tonight. Seems the team has no confidence in their ability to put the ball in the basket.

Hey - at least the headline won’t read “worst loss in La Salle history”.
Defense promising on a few days’ rest - or fluke because of our stall ball tactic?
3-3, let’s beat the Owls.

I was at the game. I thought our game plan of slowing it down was good. The crowd went nuts for Walker every time he came into the game and he was basically shut down by the defense. The arena was a very strange arena for basketball. A couple of rows of chairs not on risers behind the nets, and then a big gap behind that to where the regular seats were. I think that played a key factor with some of the shooter's depth perception tonight...particularly from 3. Make 1 or 2 of those 3's and it's a completely different game.

I thought our game plan of slowing it down was good. In theory, but the roster doesn't really allow for this type of strategy.

Only Super G would schedule a home game in an unfamiliar unconventional arena. Did our guys even practice there on Tuesday?

I was at the game as well. The strategy reminded me of the Dayton game two years ago. The turning point was at the 4:45 mark in the second half. We were down by 4 at 43-39. They hit an open 3 off a defensive rebound. We missed on our next shot and they hit another 3. Changed everything. We needed two threes and 2-3 fewer turnovers. Off to Ireland on Sat.

It worked until about 5 minutes left in the game (down 2 at that point 41-39), and then they hit a couple of 3's. If we go 2-for-15 instead of 0-for-15, it's a much different game down the stretch without needing to foul or force it as early.

I agree with glitterbro. I think the strategy was correct and it worked as we held them to I think 30 below their average. Our inability to make 2-3 three point shots was the ball game
