The only ex player on staff is Sean Neal and he's the most vocal. Pappy has been with G since I think Day One. Donnie is an ex player but not of G - so it's a different dynamic than it is with Sean. It's easy to criticize unless you watch practice - that's where the real teaching takes place. DJ Peterson is a former player for Coach Giannini and he is also on the current staff.

I forgot about DJ - I stand corrected. But as video guy, he is not allowed to coach during practice and isn't supposed to really coach much in games - per NCAA rules.

Amar's inability to shoot was and is a major problem. I just don't see how we can win with him as the point guard getting 35+ minutes. Am I being too hard on him? Who are we giving minutes at PG? Johnnie Shuler? There are no other options. Stukes not a scoring point. That's not his job. He is a floor general. Will end up in top 12 all-time for assists and maybe steals. Has nearly a 3:1 assist: turnover ratio. Not his fault he doesn't have a third scoring option. Those are the cards he was dealt. Most probably know his younger brother was nearly killed this Summer in a playground shooting. I understand that another young person in his life was fatally shot recently. I guess he is this year's version of "we can't win with him this year getting x minutes". What about Moultrie getting some minutes at point guard?

What about Moultrie getting some minutes at point guard? Based off what Moultrie's logged so far, you gotta imagine he's just not ready yet. I have to trust Giannini in that assessment, got little other option than to accept that at face value, I guess.

If I'm not mistaken, Moultrie didn't even play HS ball last year. I can't fathom he's ready for mid-major versus high major minutes.

I think Moultrie should be a big part of the rotation. The kid can shoot, handle the ball and is 2 inches taller than Shuler. Unfortunately, G is loyal to his seniors. As a consequence, Shuler is getting the minutes.
