I'm expecting the same average results I am accustomed to from this team. I am, however, definitely hoping for a spark this year.

I would like to think they're going to be more competitive this year, but probably not.

CBS Sports has La Salle ranked 92 out of 351 teams. Interesting. SI.com has us ranked 95th, and of course, has a big mistake in that it lists Demetrius (sorry Tony) as one of our returning players. ESPN has us at 119. A notch above the Albany Great Danes at 120. No mention of La Salle in their A10 preview. High expectations for Bonnies and Joe. We shall see...

Let's at least play 1 game before we talk about "searches" Agree. IMO, the talk should be basically off limits until after the game(S) in DC. It is not only distracting, it is fruitless. Bout the only two times I thought it was sensible reaction too, was after we experienced a few of the worst losses in program's history, such as those to Binghamton, St Joes (at Palestra) and Miami. I did not participate in the talks, but I could at least relate to the logic of those people. Everything else over the past 13 years has been just fine by my standards, and we know now that if the trigger had been pulled in the 2011 season which is when those nasty and ignorant blogs and facebook groups originated, that we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the magic of 2013, when those hypocritical bashers became muted.

Eh ... I don't see it happening with Giannini, but if we ever got into a "whole team versus the coach" situation, I'd absolutely want the coach out ASAP.

Sure, we're allowed to have the same conversation every time we lose, but what's new? Is it going to change anything except create more misery on top of losses?

12-19 season, 6-12 A10, W A10 rd2, L A10 qtrs Think we'll start 2-1 before dropping 4 in a row. We'll go 5-2 in December, getting dolphins2 back happily jumping in and out of the water for the start of 2018. 4-4 in January before a loooooong month of February (minus a W over Mason) and a whimper in March. My gut feeling has been 17-14, but picking game by game brought me to 12-19. If we make the NCAAs, I will eat the world's largest peanut butter and ham sandwich and convince the powers that be to make the sandwich permanently available at TruMark Financial Center.

I'll take 18-13 regular season, a trip to the semifinals in DC, and a road game in the NIT.

14-17. Loss in first A10 game. I'm usually pretty optimistic to start the year but I'm not feeling it for some reason.

20 wins and a mildly disappointing trip to the NIT

With the talent on this team, something like 12-19 or 14-17 will be really telling. Johnson, Powell, and Stukes are all high talent. Washington and his backup (name temporarily escapes me) are at least serviceable. If Dr G and staff can't get valuable contributions out of the rest - then something is awfully wrong IMO.

The first game that counts is finally here. I finally got around to looking at the entire schedule this morning. I see them going 16-15.

I read these posts and it’s all doom and gloom. For some strange feeling I actually think we will have a decent season. A competitive and interesting year in store. Coach needs to sell team concept/ defense and fluidity of motion / spacing. Again, if we gel and get a team buying into defense anything can happen. I just have a sneaky feeling this team will gel and bond this year. It’s not any one thing in particular but the sum of multiple things. Penn lost to Fairfield. Wow. Obviously a loss Monday night would be to say the least crushing. Keeping me expectations low but obviously optimistic How nice would it be to see that confidant play and chemistry take shape early on this year. All for now.
