I'll be here all year, and I'll be hopeful the entire ride, but I'm amazed that some of you are still saying things like "the season is at risk." If you haven't remotely found a solution to any of our chronic and fatal flaws at this point, the season is already a flop. We have zero remotely meaningful wins at this point.
I'm not being a pessimist, so could they sneak into the NIT? Sure, and you know I'm hopeful. But let's be honest, they're going to be in the last four in of the NIT if lucky. And luck is about the last thing I'd associate with this squad.

Usually I am the pessimist but I think we are all getting carried away at this point. Ok project and say we end up 17-15 for the season that would be a big disappointment but still a winning record and much better than four of the past seven seasons when we went 10-20 (2006/7), 15-17 (2007/8), 12-18 (2009/10) and 14-16 (2010/11). We do know what the problem is and it is Duren not being fully healthy, Lewis having late start do to injury and overall very poor shooting by our guards. It will take a lot of pressure off next years team which I believe is clearly much bigger and more athletic than this seasons squad. Hell, Price and Roberts are proven players who were highly rated and Washington is a big with a much higher ceiling than Davis. Stukes and Schuler are key but as of this point Schuler looks like a very good shooter and to say that he is automatic from the charity stripe is an understatement. Maybe I am being to optimistic but I think our next few seasons look good even if we do only win 16-17 this year.

When you are a diehard La Salle fan you know you have to hang in there . Not acheiving a winning season would be very nasty, perhaps the ultimate regression? We endured 10+ losing seasons in a row in the recent past. There is no firewall preventing this from happening again. So if you need a reason to hang in there to root for the Blue and Gold----We may not be good enough to dance in the NCAA or NIT but we can keep rooting to not dance the limbo to a losing season outcome . Unfortunately, it feels like this could be the emerging perspective for this season.

Possibly Victorious but not a given one way or another. I think if everything goes wrong we win 14 games minimum.

Usually I am the pessimist but I think we are all getting carried away at this point. You've probably got a point to some extent, but let's not swing it too far the either way too. It's healthy to step back and gain some perspective, so I thank you for that. That said, I still think this team is screwed unless they get bit by a radioactive spider prior to conference play.

I'm not jumping ship, but is this another way of saying modify your expectations? I'm at 2011-2012 season, just make the postseason of any sort.

There's a story trending in philly right now...the eagles and the flyers started out looking awful without even the idea of playoffs
Could you imagine if the explorers won a hell of a lot of games in a row...
The flyers and the eagles are getting it done and are looking for playoff berths.
60% sure I am delusional as this point...
KEEP THE FAITH!

While expectations may be modified, I have everlasting hope, and I think team will turn it around.

My biggest gripes about this team are:
3. Poor perimeter shooting from a team that shot much better last year.
2. The fact that our bigs have never learned how to play interior D
And the number one reason this holiday season that I'm beefing about the team is...
1. No one has stepped up to replace Ramon's leadership role. This team needs a leader that will b*tch slap them to shake them out of this funk.
We are what we are right now. An above average team talent-wise that is playing mediocre to average basketball. Let's hope they improve in the New Year.
