I would love to hear anyone who can logically explain how La Salle can pull this out given what we have seen in the first half. It goes deeper than hitting shots. Miami is bigger and quicker at almost every position. Then turn off the F'ing game Mik. Jesus Christ, we were down by 10 at the half and you're pissing and moaning that the game is already over. Seriously? Yeah they played poorly, but I've seen them come back plenty of times. Do I think they'll do it? The odds say they won't, but I'm not giving up hope yet. I'm as negative as they come sometimes, but down 10 at the half isn't the end of the world. Geez. Has this team come back? I don't think so. I will say what I please. If you don't like what I say then don't read my posts and block me. I could give two shits what you think or want me to do.

I tried to be optimistic but now I am very concerned that this team will not finish above .500. Garland looks like he has quit and man these guys can't shoot to save their ass. Miami is average but had little trouble beating us as has any solid or good team. We are good against bad teams but don't have a prayer against average or above average teams. It is going to be a long season and all positive talk has all but disappeared.

Mik has every right to be pissing and moaning about this team because they are playing horrible. It's embarrassing. And I'm to the point where I will just be a casual fan the rest of the season. And that's coming from me who is about as die hard a fan of La Salle as there is. My passion has been wiped away by the effort and display to date.
The way this team has played to date is unacceptable. And the performance today against an average Miami team is embarrassing. As I said before this season has been extremely disappointing. We will be a big joke on the A-10 board and in the Big 5 community - and you know what? We deserve it.

I'm certainly not happy either, but saying the game is over when you're down 10 at the half is just stupid, whiny, truculent behavior. As I said before, the odds of us winning are against us based on the way we've been playing, but it certainly wasn't over at the half.

That's such a bullshit response. It's easy for you to say "see I'm right" because they're going to lose this game, but for anyone to truly think a game is over and it's IMPOSSIBLE to win when you're down by 10 points at the half is whining. I've watched the same games as you and I can see what Miami has, but it was not impossible to win down by 10 at the half.

I'm past saying things like "dumb play" and "embarrassing" one year after a Sweet 16 year. Legitimately, anything the team gives me over the past five years is gravy. I think it's a good team that hasn't found it's rhythm for a lot of reasons. But I'm not using "embarrassing" or anything like that. That's St. Joe's talk.

FINAL. Miami 71- La Salle 58. Please no one give me any line about them being in the game being close the whole way. We were not in this game from about the 12 minute mark of the 1st half. Just because we were never down more than like 14 doesn't mean we were a threat to win the game.

Feels lke old times. Tough to have much confidence in this team going forward. The one thing you can say about the squad this year is we seem to pretty consistently bring out tne best in the opposition.

This was the time to turn it around and now I am legit done being optimistic. This team doesn't know how to beat a decent team. I don't even want to go to ESPN Game day at this point.

People with the "embarrassing" have truly short memories. And we're way up in the ledger as fans in recent history. You're right. But this is not a good team. They've had 12 games to show ANY signs of that, and they've not done it. They're a mediocre team, looking at beating the Bonvanture's, Fordham's, and Duquesne's of the world, and scaring absolutely no one in the upper tier of the conference. Maybe a 7 seed in the A-10.

Scary part is Miami is not close to being a good team. Our bigs were fine shooting 50% from field, averaging 10 points each and 9 rebounds for a solid line but our guards are so bad it is mind boggling. Guards shot 14 for 44 today which has become the norm. I still believe G is a very difficult coach to play for because he is so stressed and I think after making tourney last season he finally relaxed and team played great. Not blaming G but everyone has noticed based on comments that G can be out of hand at times which doesn't help players who are in a rut.

Good team or not, I'm of the opinion that these are kids playing a game for my enjoyment. Anything they do is fine as long as they don't tarnish the school's name. Losing a basketball game against a ACC team hardly does that. I'd obviously rather they win than lose but if this is "embarrassing" to you and you're ready to mail in the season or dump your ESPN Gameday tickets -- I don't really have a lot of time for that. I mean, they gave us a dream season last year. Literally everything went right for us. Nothing is going right for us this year. It is what it is. If you want to talk about what the team can do to fix itself than I'm good to go. But if you think a player has quit or given up or the like than I'm going to have to use the block feature.

On the plus side, the Miami game is the best Duren's looked health-wise to me all season. Quicker and more on balance shooting the 3-ball. Duren is the straw that stirs the drink and for the most part so far the bar hasn't even been open. Most A-10 competition won't have the physical superiority that Miami showed.
Give me hope, help me cope...

Neumann at this point a 9-10 seed is much more likely than a 7 seed and that is slightly optimistic. Only 3 teams look worse than us and they could even beat us if they play a good game. How did our guards become so poor was it Jameer's curse of the Hawk coaching.

Give me hope, help me cope... This was easily Duren's best game of the year. Like you said -- he's the straw. It might be too late for the team to get into the tournament but if he's back health wise, once they play A-10 teams that don't have a bunch of lengthy players to clog the lanes they'll be a lot better.

Duquesne, Fordham, St Bona, SJU, URI, Richmond and George Mason are all in the mediocre or suck boat. Richmond while 8-4 is not good, Lindsey is the only one who can play on that team.
