These huge long layoffs have made it real tough to get into any kind of rhythm as a fan lately. They've played 1 game in like 13 days, and then they play Sunday-Thursday-Sunday, then not until January 4th. This season would feel herky-jerky even if the team's play wasn't so uneven.
I will admit right off the top I'm not remotely optimistic about tomorrow. They have played 11 games and shot horribly in all of them. I have no reason to believe the shooting will magically improve ever, let alone against such any formidable opponent. I also don't see how anyone could legitimately like us to win tomorrow, other than just hoping that's the case.
Now, having said all that, a win tomorrow would cure a lot of ills. Suddenly, we'd be 6-4, with a win over a top 10 team. Right back in the game as we came down the non-con home stretch. To me, right now, the question with La Salle is "How many games do we have to see before we just declare 'This is who they are.'"
Either way, nice to have such a huge game coming up, presenting a big opportunity to right the ship, although I'm not too positive on it.

That's painfully spot on, well said.

I'm feeling a really strong 1st half where we put a scare into Nova but they pull away and win easily in the 2nd half. Hopefully I'm wrong but not feeling good about this one. I agree it's been hard to get in a rhythm with the sporadic games but when the key to our team is nursing an injury that needs rest it's the best thing that could have happened to them.

On paper we should get blown out. Nova is a disciplined team and I really like how they are coached and run their offense. That being said this is a Big 5 game and we got some Philly kids on our team that know what this game means. Up to this point we have shown very little and like one poster said this may just be who we are. I still feel this team is much much better then we have shown up to this point. What we saw last year at the NCAA tournament is not anything what we are seeing now. We can play lock down D. We can hit open shots. We can win close games. We have nothing to lose. We beat the number ten team in their house and we are back starting fresh again. That being said I am predicting A LASALLE VICTORY!!!!!!

I have no expectations to win this game. In fact I expect to get spanked pretty good.
I just want to see improvement.

I'm feeling irrationally optimistic about this one. The team showed signs of life in the second half of the last game and no longer has the pressure of high expectations. Explos by 5.

Have the feeling it's going to be a long afternoon for the good guys. Will struggle with our offense and Nova is #4 in Kenpom defensively. Seen this movie before. Struggle to get a good shot. Miss shot. No offensive rebounds. Give up easy baskets on other end. We go into our typical drought at some point. Nova will go on 12-0 or 14-2 run to break away at some point.
I hope I am wrong. I want to be wrong.

I like Fox Sports' format and presentation. It's not ESPN, which is nice. Therefore we will win.

I am waiting for a Nova player to get hurt running down those steps during introduction. Might be the stupidest introduction in sports.

Here's to a monster game from Jerrell. Looks like Sam is really into it today, if the first possession is worth anything.

10-8 bad guys at the first media break. Explos handling the press well, surprisingly.

They found a hole in the Nova zone trap with Jerrell in a big way. Keep attacking it. Up next: hoping our upcoming open jump shots fall.

Tyreek needs to be better with ball. Hurt or not. Making bad decisions.

This Explos team is deathly afraid to shoot a jumper. Outside of Steve and Jerrell, no one has a shooters mentality today. Exception being Tyrone's god awful attempt at three.

15-12 Nova at the second media cut. La Salle guards aren't very effective. Cold shooting, crappy decisions.
