Imagine if Arcidiacono was shooting lights out this season. That team would be borderline untouchable.

Roberts and Price regularly get the best of the starters in practice? I hope they chomping at the bit for next year...

Guys listen. We are all dissappointed. I was convinced we turned the corner and was post season bound this year and for many ahead. We took a huge step forward last year and now have taken a step back. My question is had we not made the NCAAs last year and been one and done in the NIT what would your expectations had been for his season? I hear you. I'm just at the point now where the dozen games we've played this season inform my opinions than last year's performance does.

Besides from the troll,
We were outsized, I am really impressed with Nova defense and they have so many weapons on the offensive end. There transitions are so quick it's hard to keep up with them at all. We never could get a rhythm going.
With that aside a top a look are our resume the teams we lost to are currently all in top 100 RPI. Manhattan at #86 right now which is a worst lose.
We need to win out the rest of our non conference schedule and go 11-5 in a10 play. I don't know how thats going to happen but it is the only way we can have a shot at the tournament if those hopes are still even alive.

How does G fix this? I like how Nova goes right into the fast break when they get a defensive rebound. Why don't we try this? Our half court game is ineffective. Way to many turn overs. Not very many open looks.

BTW, what a horrible ill informed broadcast. L Train in attendance behind the bench, no air time, no shout out for a NPOY? They didn't know who he was...

BUT we are not asking our players to do something they have never done before. We saw them perform better. We are just asking them to play to a level we know they are capable of. We are not asking for unrealistic expectations. Wright has improved. The guards have gone backwards.

The guards have gone backwards. Jameer Nelson. Wasted summer.

All players not named Jerrell Wright combined for 28% from the field, led by a staggering 2-12 performance by Garland. Not going to win many games that way.

Remember that nobody here thought that we could guard Bell and Pinkston. Well.... they combined for 10 points and we lost by 21. Something is wrong. Its our shooting, but its also TD being hurt. He is a MUCH better player than this. I hope nobody knocks him-I think he is doing what he can. We have to start over. Somebody else needs to handle ball- let TD3 shoot, create but just take some stress off of him. Also, TG, DJ and Sam must ask Santa for their shot back. Just so frustrated that we cannot find our game.

We are not asking for unrealistic expectations. Wright has improved. The guards have gone backwards. I think they were capable of it, but not anymore. A rising Galloway lifted all boats. Should they probably be a little better than this? Sure. But we're over a third of the way in now, I think this is what you're gonna get from here on out this season.

Whatever, another lost season, nothing new. As long as it doesn't hurt recruiting then I'll accept it and move on.

Bill Parcells said u r as good as your record. Man Galloway was something. 64 I think u may be right. Galloway just made it a little easier for everyone. Sad to see our seniors going out like this. What a great group of kids.

Not very many open looks. Funny that you mention this because Rich Prendergast did the color on radio. He said that everyone can look at the stats and see the problems. He is more interested in what are the solutions ( Rich was a very successful business owner so this isn't a surprise). He said for poor shooting you work on that in the gym with practice. The rest you work on (to paraphrase because he mentioned about a half dozen issues) the little things. Why does Sam Mills not get mentioned as one of the problems. Someone earlier mentioned we have 4 guards who can shoot the 3. Yet who would you want to take a 3? I say Sam since he's obvious one I would have confidence in taking that shot but again he disappeared or shies away from taking the shot. Today he was 0-2. When you need a guy to step up, he actually took less shots than he normally does. He hurts this team more than he helps it in my opinion. If he doesn't shoot why be out there? Very frustrated but it wasn't like I didn't see it coming. I said Nova would go on one of those 12-0 runs to break away. I didn't figure it to be the entire 2nd half.

Regarding our guards - and almost everyone on defense. When they "appear" to go for a steal, strip or turnover - it seems like we really don't expect to get it. When Nova goes for a steal or strip, they BELIEVE they will get a turnover. And they do. And then they know what to do with it immediately. A great aspect of that is coaching and desire. Nova got 90% of the loose balls because they BELIEVE they belong to them. We looked hesitant. I like Zack, but he looked entirely psyched out almost all game today. Jerrell was the only one who really brought it.
