The Conference RPI dropped from 7th at the start of December to 8th right before Christmas where I'm guessing it will remain barring improbable Rhode Island loss to Brown tomorrow. The A10 is limping a bit into conference play with some bad losses this week. American conference which is 7th, and Mountain West which is 9th are both seen as 2 bid leagues this year. Going 2-22 against Quad 1 RPI teams did not help the A10's post-season chances.
5 Teams have top 60 RPIs: Dayton, Rhode Island, George Mason, St. Louis, and Richmond. (La Salle is at 82)
Only 3 teams have top 60 NETs: Dayton, VCU, and St. Louis. (La Salle is at 114)
Can Dayton run the table in the A10? Maybe. They have looked solid with their only blemishes being overtime losses to Kansas and Colorado on neutral courts. Their average margin of victory in their 11 wins has been 21 points. Guessing they will be 11 point favorites over us.

Latest Lunardi projections have 3 teams in the dance: Dayton, VCU, and Duquesne. Surprised to see VCU still in there with their loss to Rhode Island this week.
Dayton moves up to 13 (AP) and 11 (Coaches) in the polls, and Duquesne received some votes in the AP Poll this week.

Has plenty of opportunities to win at UMass. The Mason meltdown was 🤪

VCU at Dayton tonight on CBS SportsNet at 8 PM. Dayton is an 8-pt favorite. Should be an interesting game to watch and see how Dayton handles VCUs defense. Possibility for a Quad 1 win for VCU if they can pull the upset.

If St. Joseph's of PA runs off three consecutive wins at Penn, hosting VCU and at GW, Lange will match Howard's record through his first 20 games.

Dayton at St. Louis tonight on ESPN2 at 7 PM. Will be interesting to see Toppin square off against French.

Dayton over SLU at the buzzer in OT. The win moves Dayton to a NET of 6 and an RPI of 7. Not sure the last time an A10 team had numbers like that.

Two to go, buddy. Good luck. I guess Billy "figured out" how to beat Penn. Maybe we can figure it out next year. 3rd time's a charm, right?

Your .500 rate of being vocally impressed by Lange’s wins is far outpacing his .222 win percentage. Seems like you’ve got it all figured out.

I’m watching St. Joseph’s of PA play a 9:00 PM home game right now and there’s absolutely no way you could have been anti-Price but watch Daly and say “this is the kind of player I like”. It’s impossible.

Prince Ryan's game against VCU last night was not so stellar. The Joeys are now 4-15. It makes my heart glad.

It’s impossible. i so agree I get that. Daly is pretty good. So was Jordan. They fill up the boxscore in a hurry for different reasons and in different ways. It's hard to compare apples to apples, but on paper Daly rebounds better. They are comparable in the passing game (Jordan could dish the ball too). Jordan could ball anyone near the lane. Daly has a more automatic quick trigger 3 with greater accuracy. Daly seems to have a better BBall IQ. On defense, both are gunners and don't make D a priority. If the game was on the line though, Jordan gets the nod based on athleticism/strength Net, net - pretty close. I still scratch my head when G needed players and had senior year spring options to sign Daly and/or Brockington from the PCL and basically passed on both.

G took Yves Mbala over Alex Franklin which was a mistake. Not because it was a bad decision. Yves was rated higher, played at a top high school and produced but his game didn't translate well into college as many thought it would. It happens a lot more than we would think it happens. Franklin went on to score 1,700 points and was the MAAC Player of the Year. He never though Franklin would be as good as he was.
Recruiting is not an exact science. You need to find players that fit your scheme.
I actually think the Daly/Price comparison is pretty spot on. I don't think either is one that leads your program to better things.

GW got to as high as 6th in the polls in 05-06 before finishing the season ranked 19th and getting a crappy 8th seed, losing to Duke in the 2nd round.
