Ran right to the board and was confused when I didn’t see a thread. Welcome!

Wonder if this was Johnson given the ACC connection.

Got the sense he may have been run off. They basically remarked in the first article that it is not a big loss to Clemson. If AH wants him then I do too. Welcome aboard!

Did some quick research and it looks like he was recruited based on potential but was a development prospect. Didn’t find much on his defensive abilities but his strength coming out of high school was his 3 pt shooting. All-time leader at his high school for 3s and shot over 40% from 3 his senior year and top 150 high school recruit.
I’m wondering if he’s the type of kid that can shoot but needs plays run for him to get open looks.

I am guessing we are hoping he regains promise he showed pre-back injury. clemsontigers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=210490995

We are currently out of scholarships. I wonder if someone is leaving.

Has to be, right? You can't turnover the entire top half of a coaching staff with outside hires and only lose one incoming freshman.

We are currently out of scholarships. I wonder if someone is leaving. Are we out of scholarships now that he’s transferring in? Or are we out prior to him joining necessitating someone to transfer out? Thought this kid essentially takes Osun’s scholly? Sorry, not as familiar with the scholarship situation or nuances.

I think La Salle has 0 and not -1. There are a couple things I've heard about people leaving that haven't happened yet, but that was prior to a coaching change.

Not sure who those potential transfers may be but I definitely don’t want to lose Moultrie. Not trying to pry, start rumors or take away from others on the team. Just making a statement based on his offensive abilities and year.

1 - Pookie 2 - Deas 3 - Phiri 4 - Carter 5 - Sullivan 6 - Brookins 7 - Moultrie 8 - Joseph 9 - Jack Clark 10 - Ed Croswell 11 - Jared Kimbrough 12 - David Beatty 13 - Scott Spencer If this holds, we only have one scholarship to give next year. The spacing is not ideal, but that's life. And if I calculated correctly, it also means that there will be 5 available scholarships the year after next (20-21).

The roster isn’t bad at all (imo) when you look at it. Obviously it’s imperfect but that’s where coaching comes into play.

I don't see any way Ash goes into next year with 1 scholarship available.

This is my thought too. And that’s ok...even if someone you like departs.

I would have preferred any transfer be a low post player, as we need more help there. Spencer had a 3 star rating from ESPN, who also shows that he was offered by Clemson, Buffalo, Murray State and Western Kentucky. The link below from Clemson U gives a lot more detail on this young man. Of note in the write-up is that he is alleged to be a good 3 point shooter. If true, a skill the team can use next year. Here we go: www.clemsontigers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=28500&ATCLID=211066298

This feels exactly like the type of transfer G would have gotten. That is not a bad thing.

I think he wants to play from the outside.

La Salle has shown interest in 7-2 McLeod , 6-9 Ingraham and 6-9 Ray Somerville (Donnie has done a lot of work here).
