Seems we just had a big investigation on that. <puts on rose-colored glasses>

It is not looking good for McLeod. Maybe we are not recruiting him hard because we have no scholarship? There is no buzz anywhere that has La Salle as a possible landing spot.

LaSalle University was in today to see 2019 6'3 PG Caleb Burgess.
Looks like Ash is still looking for that back-up point guard.

Maybe we aren't done recruiting for next year? I forgot he was supposed to come visit right as G was ousted. Glad we are in the mix.

Ash is sniffing Ayinde Hikim out of Mount Zion Prep. They were int he same tournament Haverford and Christina Ray was playing in this weekend. Hikim showed very well to Ash and the other coaches present.
I think it is pretty obvious the staff think we need help at the point guard spot.

From Hoopseen:
Olive Branch PG Joe Cooper was a lot of fun tonight. Finished with a W, 14 points, nine assists and four steals. Said Tulane, LaSalle and Ole Miss are in the mix. Also considering a Prep year.

[ Suddenly pulling out the pin and rolling the grenade across the floor ... ] Am I the only one on this board who is troubled by La Salle apparently continuing to recruit and offer scholarships to " under-sized " guards ? Quickness, hand/eye coordination and ball-handling skills IMO should be a given in any Div. 1 / A-10 caliber PG regardless of their height. IMO ( and based on what I have observed of late ), in order to be competitive in today's college game, the prototypical Div. 1 PG should be a minimum of 6'-3" or 6'-4" tall, and the SG should be at least 6'-4" or preferably taller. OK, have at it men ...

Agree with Joe here, give me the Chaz Williams or Tay Jones type player or even Tyreek Duren/Sam Mills who couldn't have been more than 6"0. If you can handle the ball, get to the basket, dish to open shooters and play tenacious D I don't care how small you are those are the kind of players that are going to turn this program around.

If you have a 6'3 PG and a 5'10 PG of the same talent, either the 6'3 is going major conference or neither are really worth caring about.

I for one have grown tired of repeatedly seeing our guards , in the attempt to go " dribble-penetration ", leave their feet and go airborne at the foul line in attempting to " get to the basket ", and then have the shot blocked or diverted by much taller opposing defenders, rendering them " unable to finish ", while simultaneously being unable to kick the ball back outside to an open shooter on the perimeter.
