G had Jerrell's heckler thrown out of the La Salle section! He did his best Roy Williams.
Jerrell had a tremendous game, he really is a warrior in March games. Too bad he didn't get all the help he needed from 1 thru 4. I feel terrible for Tyreek and Sam in their final appearance.
Bonnies pulled off some blindfolded shots and even a behind the back tip in + one. Those are the kind of rolls Ruben and Steve needed to beat them up in Olean some years ago. I thought for sure when #35 put himself on the bench that we were going to have new chances but Bonnies are fairly deep and did not give up many unforced errors. I do not think we played them too loose. Sometimes, we don't match up well on defense. The reason I think is because of lack of bench depth which leads to fatigue.

St. Bonnie's fans will tell you they struggle on the boards yet outrebounded La Salle by 7.
Bonnies had 6 TO's for the game and only 1 in first half. Where is the defensive pressure?
Bonnies had 12 assists to go with their 6 TO's. Win a lot of games with a 2:1 asst to to ratio.
Congrats to the Seniors. They gave us a lot. Will always have a fond place in La Salle history.

Just got back. Stopped at Ground Zero on the way home. Impressive Memorial. St B outplayed us. Everything was falling for them. What was their % They expected to win. Our team can't shoot the 3 Reason JW stopped on that free throw was because someone from the stands screamed wait from the LaSalle section. LaSalle fans went nuts and had the guy kicked out. He was wearing a suit. I guess a St B fan. G really has to stop the spoiled tantrums on the sideline. Does no good for anyone. JW played hard and strong. Zack needs to finish 2 footers. If they continue to develop they will be tough That no call when Garland got mugged on that lay up was shocking. Everyone in the place gasped. Lots more St B fans there. They made noise and chanted and were heard. Our possession down 5 with 2 min to go summed up this entire season. Looked like a game of hot potatoe was going on. Just running around the perimeter until it got stolen. Will say it again because it has to be said. Can not believe this is the same team minus one guy that won 3 NCAA games last year. They had hundreds of grade school kids there and teachers were handing out A 10 tshirts. Nice promotion for the kids and getting the brand out there. Saw St B personalized bus along with Daytons. Why don't we have one? They were really cool. I watched our teams expression after the loss. They didn't looked shocked. This season ended as it started... With a loss. Hope the best for our seniors. They really deserve credit for all they have done for LaSalle. Now G needs to recruit athletic kids. The league is improving and we have got to improve with it.

I have followed this team for about 8 seasons or so now, so I come with decent pre-sweet 16 perspective.
Just makes you wonder how we won 3 games in the NCAA tourney, after barely squeaking our way in. Some of it had to be matchups (a K-State team people were picking to be upset, playing a 12 seed in the 3rd round), the rest hot shooting at a timely point in the year??
Boise: 63% FG, 52% 3PT - won by 9 KState: 43% FG, 39% 3PT (including 58% and 54% in the first half for 18-point lead) - won by 2 Ole Miss: 49% FG, 39% 3PT - won by 2 Wichita State: 36% FG, 39% 3PT - lost by 14
2013-14: 41% FG, 33% 3PT
I too am hoping that Price or Roberts is a vocal/loud personality that is the Ramon-type: "get on my back, and I got the skills to back it up"

#1 Angry Al is honest and some people just can't accept his honesty. #2 Stop with Jerrell and Steve getting NBA looks because they are not close to being NBA players but are good A10 players. #3 We were bad from the first game to the final game with only a handful of well played games and that is due to below average coaching and flat out horrible shooting. #4 We ay or may not have a better record next season but will beyond a doubt be bigger, more athletic and more talented. #5 G hurts his players confidence with his out of control demeanor #6 Much of the dain we made last season regarding perception has been lost particularly regarding recruiting. #7 We better hope T.Washington qualifies next season because we will need him big time the following season. #8 Will be surprised if J.Davis returns next season.

And the other shoe just fell.
Hopefully, La Salle will take THIS off-season a lot more seriously than they did last off-season! Most people with reasonable expectations thought we'd be third or second in a watered down A10 this year, with St Louis, VCU, and Mass being the main competition. We ended up 9th, if you count postseason prognostications and our loss today, and in a 6-bid conference. That's reality, and it sucks. You might even say it's disappointing. But I don't think we can speculate as to causes derived from slacking in the off season. You're incredibly unfair. As G told you, we won some very close games last year, and we lost some very close games this year. Some players improved.

I'd also be acting like a total shithead. I just pictured an olde-timey guy with a moustache and straw hat, using one of those old-megaphones, just announcing my shortfalls. "You shouldn't buy dinner a gas station, see." "A grown man shouldn't own so many shirts with Nintendo characters on them sonny boy" ....but anyway, I agree with you.

I started to feel sick when duren missed the two techs. Just a bad omen. We made a run, but they've kept us at arm's length the whole time. How many offensive boards have they gotten after the ball hit the floor? I started feeling sick when the 3 sh!thead refs were announced before the game. We had no shot with Faia and Cox. G needed to pick up the early T to set the tone for the game but he is "too nice". The T on Bonaventure was our chance to completely steal the momentum and Duren blew it. Maybe Wright should have taken all of the free throws since he had the hot hand today.

What would drastically help the program is if we could recruit someone like Andrew Wiggins, Doug McDermott and Joel Embid.
In all seriousness, the season was disappointing. What we (and everyone else) thought was a good shooting team was not and they weren't athletic enough to overcome that. Down years happen with increased expectations.
We have no idea what to expect next year. I like our seniors coming back next year a ton. Steve and JW are both going to get NBA looks. If Steve can make a few shots from the FT line area, then he's an all A-10 player. That's not an exaggeration. Those shots are open but he doesn't take them. If G gets confidence he can take those shots and lets him, then he'll the best big man in the conference. We also know what JW will give us (with room for improvement) and DJ's just a steady player.
But we really cannot say one thing what the new backcourt will give us. Who knows. It's a total crapshoot. Our rotation next year has never played together. It's a really fascinating experiment.

There is no doubt that we, A-10 coaches and media expected more from this team. Like everything else making shots and winning begets more of the same. Confidence is infectious. The team did regress as to the ability to make shots while many other teams in the conference improved. Many of you may think otherwise but our strength of schedule was good. Interesting to see if you look at Live-RPI we are the only team in the top 100 with a record below 500. This group gave us a great ride for two years, NIT and Sweet Sixteen. My thanks to them and John.

It's been a beyond depressing season with this team and definitely fits in more with the La Salle basketball I've been accustomed to with last season as the outlier. There's no sense beating the dead horse pointing out the same flaws we saw all season. Would have been nice to see them improved on as the season went but didn't happen so it's time to turn the page.
The returning players just saw the fine line for the difference between dancing in the Sweet 16 and a sub-.500 season. Hopefully that motivates the guys who need to be leaders next year (Wright/Zack/Lewis/Peterson).
I'm already looking forward to next season if not for any other reason than enjoying AngryAl's pain of La Salle being successful again.

In G We... hope and pray that this is not the best he can do without a high profile player like Galloway. If so, I don't think we can stomach more then 1 more season of this type of play (questionable defensive strategy and no offensive flow). Hopefully G realizes this and looks for at least one solid assistant in the off-season.
